Why do so many people seem to want...

Clem to be a ruthless survivor who'd let people die to survive, I understand wanting Clem to live, but why would you want to destroy her humanity? Not only is it flying in the fuckin' face of everything Lee taught her, but it seems like a weird sort of aggressive mentality everyone has had recently. The fact that the "Kill ___" or "I hope Clem dies" comments have so many upvotes is just stupid.

Because a lot of people would rather live than die for others.
yeah it kind of is
I try to make my Clem a balance between survival while keeping some of her humanity. I just don't understand why people want her to be a fuckin' psycho like Carver.
It's valid, even if some find it reprehensible. Season 2 is definitely a much more cynically written story than the first Season.
Because it's kind of the entire point of the walking dead. Survivalism, or Moralism? Not everyone shares your view of what's right and wrong, and not everyone sticks to their morals in dire situations.
I think they want Clem to survive since we are kinda like the parents who raised her with Lee and now we control her in her early teen years.
human nature
I'm the same.
I left Sarah, but I stuck it out with her for as long as I could. When it became clear to me that she wouldn't be recovering anytime soon, I left her. I didn't want her to risk getting Clementine killed, or put her through a "forced march through hell". I did what I could.
I stole from Arvo, but only because we needed the pills. What else was I supposed to do? I don't want to give him too much of a hard time, but we needed that stuff. It's just how this kind of world works.
I threatened Rebecca with revealing the identity of her baby's father, but only because I felt threatened myself. I don't mean to be cruel, I'm just trying to get her off my back.
I can kind of contradict this line of thinking, though. I shot Rebecca out of panic, I watched Carver die because I couldn't resist the urge to see some of dat Telltale gore, and I prefer Luke over Kenny. Luke's more of a moral guy, but I trust him more over Kenny. Kind of a complicated relationship. I don't think he'd like my Clem for very long.
Lmao, what? Give me an example of one. That does NOT happen on these forums. Absurd.
I saved Sarah because she was kind to Clem when nobody else was willing to help her.
I refused to rob Arvo because Clementine had been robbed before.
I did, however, enjoy watching Carver be mutilated. I did deny the bandit his last drink. I did put the dog out of its misery.
Remember that she stuck up for Ben in Crawford:
"Ben's my friend. He's nice. We don't leave friends behind."
I'm never going to change that aspect of her.
I don't know. I mean, I can understand not sacrificing yourself, but just leaving someone to die for some petty reason kind of defeats what made Clem so endearing in the first place.
People have been saying they hope she dies so they can have a new protagonist in Season 3. And I've seen plenty of comments from people saying that they hope Luke dies.
To be honest I was actually debating leaving Sarah behind.(Just because of how bad the situation was getting.) Then I remember what Clem said to Lee and the group and how scared/helpless Sarah looked. So I decided to save her![:D :D](https://community.telltale.com/resources/emoji/lol.png)
To me, It's a matter of being deemed worthy or not. I don't believe in helping everyone.
Me neither
.
Probably because they feel that is what it would take for her to live. Personally, I don't want her to lose her humanity, but I do want her to be able to make some of the hard decisions required to survive, but I don't want her to be a psycho, or someone like Jane.
Lee hasn't had to survive as long in the apocalypse as long as Clem has had to now, and she's likely to come across much harder or at least as difficult situations for the rest of her life.
I'm not saying I'd make some nasty decisions with 'my' Clem (I usually do a second run through and make the opposite decisions), but there is definitely space in the situations she is in to become bitter and that little bit twisted, so I think it's nice to have choices, even if you don't agree with them (obviously they should be keeping within a certain amount of character).
For instance, in a way I was disappointed there wasn't an option to kill Arvo, but it wouldn't have been my choice, and I can still see how it would be a choice for some people.
If Clementine dies determinantly and it's our choice, then we have the option to kill our beloved Clementine... she doesn't kill herself, WE kill her...
