Could The Choice With ____ In Season 1 Effect _____'s Fate.

edited August 2014 in The Walking Dead

I noticed how in Season 1 Ducks death really didn't change much, besides the boy in the attic scene. I was thinking, If Lee kills Duck for Kenny.. does that mean if Kenny lives the shootout in 204 and something happens to the baby in episode 5 will it change Kenny's fate? Like having to leave behind the Baby because it got so cold, or possibly hurt? So basically this.

Lee Kills Duck= Kenny can't let the Baby go in 205, or becomes extremely saddened/ stays behind. Or Kenny tries to save the baby and dies because of it? Leaving his Status as dead or unknown?

Kenny Kills Duck= Kenny can let the Baby go, and continues on. He isn't reckless and doesn't try and save the Baby, when he possibly knows its already dead.. (very sad thought.. I know.) Leaving him alive.

This could possibly be even switched. Where as Kenny can do it because he didn't kill his son and vice versa.

And it could be even more different if Kenny left Duck behind. But that could go along with him killing him.

Just a quick discussion before Season 2 is over.

  • A good way to make Season 1 choices matter.

  • Exactly what I was thinking

  • I would think the choice of who kills the Zombified boy in the mansion would be taken into account as well.

  • Yeah, maybe reversing the duck choice? like
Kenny kills duck, but doesn't kill the boy... means he can't leave the baby? I don't know how that would really work.

  • And here I am praying that Season 1 choices don't matter because I lost mine and ended up having to cope with randomized ones. xD

  • I was thinking like if Kenny killed them both, then he would be able to push through, but if he only killed one, he could be convinced to push through, but if he doesn't kill any, he won't be able to push through?

  • Yeah... I'm hoping my save hasn't fucked up as... I only have one play through...

  • Ha, I think I already got pretty lucky. Kenny mentioned how Lee took care of Duck for him, Clem referenced how Lee cut off his arm, and Clem's advice to Sarah on shooting was "Take a deep breath before you pull the trigger". All of those were the choices I actually made on my original playthrough, but then there are incorrect ones like Lee having saved Doug and tying up Lilly in the RV which I didn't do.

I guess we'll have to see how it goes. :P

  • It woud be a nice troll if maing kenny kill duck gave a better outcome than letting lee kill him similar to when you chop saritas arm off

  • I let Kenny kill boy in attic, for him....

  • I really doubt it at this point

  • You, never know shrug

I really doubt it at this point

  • Tell Tale be like - "You think you did the right things in Season 1? Well, we're gonna screw you nice guys in Season 2".
