Wait, you don't HAVE to pick them!? (spoilers)
Remember they've been talking about the options, 'Empathy. Humanity. Survival. Who will you become?' Well with this new tweet, if it connects to that, that could mean you don't HAVE to pick Pizza and Ice Cream after all o_o you can just, choose to starve!
But it's got me thinking of that silly board game again from Episode 1 that might be foreshadowing of the Pizza & Ice Cream decision.
There's the two pieces together that might represent Luke and Kenny, and one near Clem that could represent her...but there's a piece knocked down. I used to think maybe it was another character or the baby that can't weigh into the decision, but what if that symbolizes the option to go solo with no one beside Clem, as in survival and leave Luke and Kenny entirely and go without your empathy and humanity.
I have only one question if this is true...WHERE'S THE FRIGGIN BABY!?

If this turns out to be right, I officially hate Jane for all eternity and wish I could've kicked her down the stairs when I had the chance! Damn you woman! Putting such terrible thoughts in little Clem's mind. Shame on you! >_< Lee would turn in his grave of a jewellery store if he knew about this.
To be more serious and less freak out, any thoughts on this or the tweet from you guys? I'm more worried than ever now! I don't want my Clementine all alone! T.T she needs warm hugs!
Although for real if this becomes a decision, three options instead of two, how would you all handle it?
Comments
I'd choose Kenny, Right now I'm missing an eye and have an eye patch.
Hmm... Interesting.
There could be a final (pizza/ice cream) choice: Ex. [Go with Kenny], [Go with Luke] OR [...]
Kenny (pizza) = Empathy
Luke (ice cream) = Humanity
Neither (...) = Survival
I'm not sure who someone would not choose anyone, unless they timeout of course, but I'd rather choose someone rather than let them both die.
So that means Clem will have the possibility to follow Jane's advice and leave the rest of the group to be on her own. It seems a little bit too extreme and sad to me and even though she knows how to defend herself Clem is still a child.
Oh, you found my tweet. c:
I love your theory and I would love to add my two cents. I don't believe the choice is between people despite the fact they've been pushing Kenny vs. Luke, I think it may be three endings based upon all your previous and current decisions, especially considering the whole "Play by your gut.. Do what Clem would think is right," and "#MyClementine."
I thought that was pretty obvious though. The poster has Clementine carrying the baby but in the video "non-spoiler scenes" (hey, they are totally spoilery) we see Clementine alone by the playground on the last achievement. I always thought being alone was one of the options.
But from the sound of this, it seems like we have to choose either or none, so three choises in total. Unless there are a third party you can go with.
Another thing he said "That's up to your Clementine." Could that mean we don't make the decision, or does Clem make the decision?
Not between people? Well, I guess that could be possible. But...I don't know. I'm definitely not excited for the finale episode anymore though. I know it sounds overdramatic but that's just how I feel about it. I was already having doubts before, but now I can't look forward to it anymore
Well all times that we have had an option to agree or side with either there has usually also been neutral responses. So if it isn't in our direct control then it will probably follow suit with the whole "your Clementine" thing where she's supposed to form character based on our previous choices.
That was a tricky answer from him. I think he meant that if the time runs out and you don't choose one of them then "your Clementine" will choose depending on your choices throughout this season. Same thing happened with Lee, we had to either kill him or leave him, and if the time runs out and you don't choose, then Clem will do it instead of you...
This is going to hit the feels so hard.
Mine's derailed a little T.T but yeah, it'll hit it hard.
But they never really confirmed anything of the sort and if this does happen that way this episode may topple "No Time Left"
Don't worry, let's hope we made the right decisions.
I remember reading up about that. I think it weighs up on some of the decisions you've made until then for Clem to decide. So, could the same concept be put into play for here too? That when the timer runs out, the decisions will weigh up depending on who you sided with more in previous episodes? o.o a neat theory.
yeah.
And make everybody except Clem determinant. We know Telltale's track record with those...
The difference is, in season 1 we don't control Clem, we control Lee, so I don't think Clem will choose for herself.
I believe in us.
Actually not true, if you don't make up your mind on if to leave with Sarita or watch Carver be killed, Clem will still decide to leave.
But isn't that because Sarita pulls her along?
It's probably not "Luke oR Kenny" it's probably "wellington or stay". something not too big perhaps, unless clem's story is done...
of course we don't want that right "fans"
Nope. Clem turns to go when Carver taunts her about sticking around to watch the show. It's then Sarita will usher her out.
This is from the mute playthrough.
i'd save kenny all the time
I thought it was decided Luke is the pizza because pizza lasts longer.
Oh oops didn't know that.
My justification for who-was-who was: Pizza (1) VS Ice Cream (2) = Kenny (1) VS Luke (2).
Also, there was the theory where Pizza = Kenny (5 letters each) AND Ice Cream = The Group (3 letters and then 5 letters each)
I guess I missed that discussion.
If this scenario were to actually play out, then I'd handle it by choosing to go with Kenny. I don't agree with everything that Kenny does and says (I disagree with him a lot of the time, in Season One and Season Two alike), but I firmly believe that irrespective of the baby that Kenny has a great deal of the attributes of a caring and loving guardian, so much so to where he's willing to risk his life (similar to that of Lee) for the sake of sustaining hers, which I think will be demonstrated in the season finale. I'm not trying to insinuate by any means necessary that Luke doesn't possess attributes that point to him being a tending and admiring caretaker, because I don't believe that to be a true statement in any sense of the word "true". However, when choosing between Kenny and Luke, the decisions is cut and clear for me as at this present time to the better choice. Plus, the feels of nostalgia when interacting with Kenny, allowing me to have a fullness of sharing reminiscent memories from Season One, is an upside of the choice to go with him over Luke, and most definitely over self. The survival route, to go without Kenny or Luke, to go by myself, is an extremely unappealing option for my Clementine at the moment, and probably will remain as so. If worst comes to worst and I'm forced to go by myself, then that's an unchangeable way of things that I'm powerless to alter, but my Clementine won't be abandoning people wholly if provided with options.
Watch me be horribly wrong, but the choice may not involve them. It could involve would you leave or stick with the group.
3 Decisions to choose Clementine's fate?
Save the baby.
Save Clementine.
Save neither/both.
This one game called spider man web of shadows, there is karma ratio and the last choice in the game is dependent on your karma ratio. you don't get to choose it. Also FIRST POST!
For a second I thought you meant you were first to post on this forum topic. I was like "No you aren't first" but I quickly realised haha
Ah, I honestly don't think they would make such an obscure hint, and it fits so perfectly, I don't think that was planned.
I also don't think there was actually any particular labeling, just that one of them is Luke and one is Kenny. But if they were to label them, I think Luke would fit the pizza better.
Kinda like in Season 1. Clementine can shoot or leave Lee, but it depends on how you played.
Hear me out.
Pizza vs. Ice cream is a decision we don't get to choose (Directly), and I'm just gonna use Kenny and Luke for an example.
Job says "It's up to YOUR Clementine." Could that possibly mean Clementine will make up her own choice without us choosing based on how we played the season and how we played as Lee in season 1?
If you played cold hearted, Clementine will choose neither of them = Carver
If you played by siding with Kenny most of the time, Clementine will choose him.
If you played by siding with Luke, Clementine will choose him.
It was just a theory floating around which sort of justified who I thought was pizza and who I thought was ice cream.
I was just labelling them for my theory/to make a point.
I don't think it really matters, just that pizza can be Kenny or Luke and same goes for ice cream.
What if the choice is already made by our decisions throughout the season and we are just left to watch as it plays out?
The way Kenny acts is really closer to survival than any of the three, and then humanity. Never really showed any empathy.
Whereas Luke has shown himself to be empathetic a lot.
I think it's more likely that Luke = Empathy and Kenny = Humanity.
My rationality:
Empathy is the definition of understanding and sharing the feelings of others. I thought Kenny fit this description because Kenny's a man we've come to know since the start and we know he's lost so many and it's beaten him down and changed him. We understand how he feels and where he's coming from and we share that feeling. It's changed him in a way that's different from how Clem has changed so it's empathy and not sympathy.
Thus Kenny = Empathy.
Humanity is the definition of the human race collectively. Since Kenny was (for lack of a better word) isolated by the group, I thought Luke fit the description of humanity since he kind of represents the collective human race better than Kenny. He's more liked by the group and he's a good guy who has his flaws. We also haven't known him as long as Kenny but I see how he could also be empathy (I love Luke's character but I think he fits humanity better). (Plus if it was Kenny vs the group, I think the group would represent humanity better.)
Thus Luke = Humanity
well this was shit lol.
Yeah, you said it. Ugh god...I need a drink and there is no drink.
