The shootout

Was anybody else confused by the sudden shooting at the end of the episode? I mean I understand that there was tension in the air between the two groups, but it just seemed weird. Clem/Kenny fire a bullet, sure, but it wasn't at any of the Russians, it was at one of their own. I guess what I'm trying to say is that it seems that the Russians had very little reason to even start firing in the first place. They could have just looked mystified at Clementine's groups sudden choice to shoot one of their own, asked Arvo what the hell was going on, gotten an answer, and then continue with their stealing of the group's resources with a lesser chance of it ending up bloody.

  • I think Buricko was startled by Luke which caused him to fire, or he could've been enraged by how the group just killed a mother and may have harmed the baby, they seemed like they wouldn't hurt the baby in any way.

  • They were alarmed by the gunshots, one shot, and the rest shot also.

I'm just sitting here to see who will survive..

  • It's simple. Stand-offs like that are wildly unpredictable too begin with and both groups were tense and very aggressive. Add in a sudden gunshot (which is borderline painful when you're that close) and it's completely understandable that somebody might panic and start a chain reaction.
