Endings (Episode 5 Spoilers)

I'm too emotionally drained right now to replay the episode, so I just want to know what happens in all of the endings.

    Kenny kills Jane
    1) Kenny offers to take only kids to Wellington
1a) Go to Wellington and Leave Kenny
    1b) Stay with Kenny
That's what i figured right now

  • Kill kenny> Go back to carvers camp > Meet 3 new survivors > choice to take them in or not.

  • Killed Kenny -> Left Jane -> Clem is shown somewhere warmer. Tons of walkers in the distance. She cuts open a walker and rubs guts all over her and AJ and marches in all badass into the group.

  • Let Kenny kill jane--> leave to wellington with kenny----->wellington not accepting new people--->decide to leave with kenny and baby and fend for ourselves..

  • So nobody's decided to stay in Wellington?

  • If you kill Kenny then after you find the baby in the car. Jane tells you she did it to show you what Kenny was like. That she just wanted you to leave with her and didn't want it to go that far. You can either decide to stay with Jane which leads to going back to Carver's camp with Jane and the baby then a family consisting of a man, woman and little boy come and beg you to let them stay you can choose to let them in or make them leave. If you choose not to stay with Jane then Jane gets upset as you leave with the baby and later you're seen somewhere warmer near a zombie herd you cut open a body smear the guts over yourself and the baby. If you decide to look away as Kenny kills Jane then there is an option after he kills Jane to shoot Kenny after you do so you hear the baby crying find it and leave and later it shows the same scene as if you left by yourself with the baby and end up somewhere with a walker herd. If you don't shoot Kenny at that point then you hear the baby crying you go after it. You can either stay with Kenny or leave him. If you leave him he tells you that you're making the right choice that he's not fit to take care of you he says his goodbyes and hugs you then after you leave you end up with the same scene that happened if you didn't leave with Jane where you end up near a walker herd. If you stay with Kenny you end up finding Wellington but they say they can't let any more people in and toss you down a bag of supplies. Kenny begs them to let you and the baby stay. They end up saying that you can stay with the baby but Kenny can't stay. Kenny tells you to stay in Wellington. You can decide whether to stay in Wellington or leave with Kenny. If you decide to leave they end up tossing down a second bag of supplies and Kenny tells you that you're stubborn as a mule and you all leave.

  • Thank you for that.

That's a lot of branching off. It's amazing that TellTale pulled it off. Good job, TTG!

I hope they manage to somehow make Clem the protagonist of season 3.

  • I hope so..... but with so many multiple endings do you think it can be done?

If they really try, they can pull it off with different beginnings. Or they just decide for one ending and go with it.

Different beginnings sounds more likely though, or a 2-3 year timeskip. They could do that without getting past the comic timeline. Then, they could start over with Clem at a certain point.

I believe they could twist the story to the point where the ending with her alone in the field happens no matter what you do.
It'd be a bit lazy, But my body is not ready to say goodbye to clementine.

  • I find it interesting that it's very possible for Clementine to end up going alone and becoming a junior Michonne. Think about it: Wellington could be over-stretched and liable to collapse. Howe's Hardware has a long way to go before it reaches the size of Carver's community.

I think this is the last we'll see of Clem for the next couple of years. She won't be in Season 3. If the comic timeline moves forward, however, we might see another time-skip and have a chance to return to a teenage Clementine in a possible Season 4...

Maybe we will play the character we chose to stay with.. kenny? Shoot me now.

  • No. Look at 400 days, only a few determinant characters and they make a few second cameos and that's it.

  • Why I am scared that Clem won't be the playable protagonist in S3... if that happens I don't care how good the story may be, Clementine was the best thing about the series.

But in one set Kenny survives, in another he dies and is replaced with Jane, or Jane dies and she travels with Kenny and so many different endings etc.... if they made a S3 how would they account for the multi-linear character deaths to be covered in S3?

Kenny dies in one continuity, Jane dies in another, would we see any of these two in S3 then?

  • I think the best thing would be a timeskip. 2-3 years, Clementine with a new group maybe. And she tells her story about what happened with Wellington, Kenny, or Jane.

  • Perhaps that could be left for Season 4. I think that Season 3 will either star an entirely new protagonist, Christa, or Arvo.

  • Hey, if you ask me, I'd sign that. But on the same contract, I'd like to see the confirmation that there will be another season with Clem. I don't care if it's coming 2017, 2018. But I'm not ready to say goodbye yet.

Sorry, forgot to reply this under the spoiler.

  • At the start of S2 Clem is with Omid and Christa, but with the various outcomes at the end of S2 it may be that we won't see Clem again for a while :(

I mean unless they kill off Kenny/Jane early in S3, but Clem can also end up alone as well so... time skip seems most likely then, maybe there might be a flashback sequence to cover the various possible endings, though that does sound like a lot of work for the developers...

  • The only one I am yet to see is what happens if Jane dies and you shoot Kenny afterwards? Does Clem still go off on her own and go through the same walker herd you see if you leave Jane?

  • Yes.

Zarok, on the Wellington rejection when you go with Kenny-can you at least leave the baby with them?

  • I did, because Kenny was talking about sacrifices earlier and I thought it best to respect this one.

  • oh god, i wanted to stay with Kenny, but my (Lee's) plan all along was to get Clementine somewhere safe, so i had to stay at wellington, man, Kenny is such a legend, he will survive.

  • Oh my God, you've killed Kenny. You bastard!
