you misspelled 'Jane'
I don't hate him. He had balls for standing up to Kenny.
What he did was inexcusable, but I can't hate him for being in an extremely shitty situation and snapping. It's the same thing as Lilly - I wouldn't kill him, but I would no longer trust anything to do with him.
It'd be cool if he were to return in another Season.
You, my friend, underestimate trolls.
Not everybody hates Jane- Me for one, I understand what she did, even if it was heartless. I also thought Kenny was a dangerous part of the group. shrug. Although, pretty sure everyone hates Arvo. To be fair, he did do one good thing for us, a.k.a letting us see Lee again, albeit through shooting Clem.
So they're a troll for having a valid emotional response?
No. What you said makes sense. What I meant was more like "Oh, I love how he shot Clem. I wish she would've died there. Slowly. Here a Clem R34 picture for you to enjoy."
I still like Jane, I still like Kenny. Arvo, not so much.
EDIT: Arvo is someone I love to despise. Like Joffrey from GoT.
What Arvo did had no excuse. Clem didn't even have a gun anymore, so she wasn't a threat to him.
I think we can agree with that. Though he probably blamed her for his sisters death and deaths of his group, regardless wether or not it was his own doing. (I didn't rob him. He was probably scamming his own group for meds and pinned it all on Clem.)
Kenny's constant abuse of him sure didn't help. He forgave Mike and Bonnie because they were kind to him, but I think he hated Clem for shooting his sister. Too bad, because I had the impression that he could have forgiven her if the only offense she did to him was robbing him.
FUck you. Jane is awesome.
Possible offense. Not everyone of us robbed him and he still falsely accused Clem of doing.
At the same time, he assumed that Jane was part of Clem's group and, if you tell him that Jane was at fault, he gets afraid that she'll ambush him. Ironically, Jane claims that it was because of Arvo's group attacking Clem's in revenge that she came back in the first place.
In any case, that does not at all justify Kenny's inhumane treatment of him. Arvo did not want to start a fight, none of Clem's group were killed while his whole family was already lost, and Kenny was way too impatient and violent towards him.
It makes me wonder if he shot Clem as a way to hurt Kenny and Jane.
I didn't pin my non-existent offense on Jane. I refused to give Arvo anything.
And I was not even trying to justify the abuse Kenny inflicted on Arvo, I attempted to make him back off at every turn. Following my philosophy of live and let live, I would've given Arvo a chance to make amends for his actions and prove himself trustworthy, slowly over time. But that never happened and she shot a girl who tried to defend him, who did not rob him, whos sister she did not kill. Maybe Arvo believes to be in the right himself, who knows.
That's what happened in my playthrough, where Arvo is ultimately the only one to blame for his misfortunes. Not Clementine. Without defending Kenny, any abuse Arvo got from him was a result of his own actions.
You said that you would've given Arvo a chance to make amends, but he was never given one. He was constantly being left out in the cold, chained up, kicked around, insulted by the strangers he was helping, and then brutalized for resisting. Even when Jane finds his supplies and proves that he wasn't a simple liar, Kenny refuses to apologize - he warms up to Mike for being the first guy to treat him humanely. Not to mention he had the mistaken impression that his sister was still alive when Clementine shot her reanimated corpse.
Kenny, of course, is the one who is most to blame for Arvo's misfortune and anger. Not Clementine.
Amends... slowly... over time. He had just nearly got their group killed, while trying to rob them. I wouldn't exactly rush over to hug him. Not everyone in the group acted like Kenny, they opposed him in fact. But this doesn't make Arvo some poor soul worthy of forgiving and trust.
In my playthrough, Clementine is the first to give Arvo benefit of the doubt. Even after he broke her earlier trust on him, tried to rob her group and falsely accusing her for stealing their meds.
"Not to mention he had the mistaken impression that his sister was still alive when Clementine shot her reanimated corpse." Isn't that assumption? I don't recall him ever claiming her being alive just before Clem shot her. In all likelyhood he knew she was dead.
Again, I'm not defending Kenny but Arvo is far from innocent. Telling Clems group about the house and the food was a step toward right direction but could've also be done just for self-presevation. Hell, I can even understand his anger toward Clem, Kenny and the rest but that still doesn't pardon him.
Only Arvo is to blame for his friends and sister killed. If he didn't lied about stealing, if he didn't let his friends attack our group, no one would have died. If he didn't run, Luke might still be alive, if he tryed to be useful, Kenny would not beat him for no reason. And even if Clem tries to defend Arvo all the time, this fucker shoots her anyway, even when she has no gun.
If there will be a chance to kill him in S3, I definetly will, there's no way to redeem himself for what he had done. It's his fault in the first place, he can't be trusted anymore, not after shooting Clem.
