Season 3?
I know it's happening, but how is it possible? I left with Kenny, but I know I could have let Kenny die, I could have stayed in Wellington... I know season 3 has been confirmed, but with such massive branching, I don't know how season 3 is going to be possible if they want to keep going with Clementine... Season 3 without Clementine isn't Season 3; it's The Walking Dead 2 Season 1. As much as I want to know what happened during the 16 month time gap, or what happened to Kenny after Season 1, I really don't think it'd be a good idea to make a season out of it... If were a matter of simply choosing between Kenny and Jane they could kill of the surviving character is S3E1, but a complete change in setting is a bit hard to do...
Edit: I really hope I didn't just answer my own question - are they going to do a time skip where the surviving members going to check back in a few months like the person at Wellington said? And then Kenny/Jane dies within five minutes? (Or died during the time skip)... That would feel sooo bullshit...

10 minutes of all the character/places of clem's getting attacked dying and etc. and clem is solo.
Will be very hard to do a season 3, seeing how they have to make multiple intro's.
Clem will either end up traveling with person x, stay in safe location y or go back to location z.
Not to mention including the choices of who is with you.
New protagonist or a timeskip most likely.
This is how I wished the series were from the very beginning, ofcourse like you say theres too much branching meaning either after the first episode of season 3 it all ends up the same anyways, or we dont continue this story and clem is not the protagonist in season 3. Either way it's going to dissappoint...
If we'll continue the story as Clementine then I think Telltale will direct episode 1 to the end in the same place no matter what did you choose in episode 5. I mean for example in each case there would be a group of aggresive survivors, they could kidnapped Clem and take her to their camp. But... I don't know. I hope... I want Clem to be in season 3 as protagonist but I don't know how Telltale wants to achieve this.
I'd say a time skip with a mention about the endings.
Although there was this game "The Suffering" it was called, that one had three endings, then they did three intros for the sequel. Everything is possible.
And I for season three, I keep faith it's not going to diss, although they really need to think it over, not rushing it. Rushing the games to meet the deadline is always bad for the content.

I am surely hoping that Clem will be the protagonist in season 3. Like I said, everything is possible when you think about it.
I unfortunately think that we won't see any of these characters in season 3.
There are just too many possibilities, so many determinant characters. If they did a season 3 with Clem being still the protagonist, some people would play in Wellington, others would be on their own, and others would be with the person they chose to be with, it's impossible.
Remember the Telltale tweets before the release of the episode, when someone at telltale tweeted "I'm gonna miss my Clementine" ? Now it makes sense, why would they say that if they planned to continue her story ? And the credits had Clem's theme playing which shows that her story is over. We are left to imagine what her future will be. I really wanted Clem's story to continue, I knew that there was a great chance for her to not be the playable character anymore in season 3 but I had hoped that she would still be a part of the story and that she would interact with us based on who we made her become. It would have been so interesting, but at least they didn't kill her.
I know the chances are rather slim but I still hope that somehow it is not the last we've heard of her or of any of these characters. It would be a shame for Telltale to just abandon what they spent two seasons to build.
