I really wished it was all just...
...a dream when Clem gets shot (after having no [SHOOT ARVO] option) and continues from that point afterwards.
When that sequence started up I was ecstatic, I thought that they might have realized that they'd screwed up so badly with Season 2 that the only way to deal with it was to retcon it into an "All just a dream" ending.
Anyone else?

Pffft screw that, that would have been stupid as all hell.
Making that entire Season 2 a dream would've been equivalent to giving us the middle finger. I sincerely hate those kind of endings as it feels lazy. Some things make it work, but with this, hell no.
Season 2 was nothing but middle fingers. Want Clem to pick up the gun at the beginning of Episode 1? Not happening. A doctor doesn't know the difference between a dog and a human bite. A doctor won't even bandage a girl's wounds. Nick's death is glossed over. Sarah's death is unpreventable and the game trolls you into thinking you can prevent it. Arvo's whole existence was ridiculous and he never should have gone up those stairs (what was the point?) The windmill. The group not fleeing or preparing after seeing lights in the distance. Clem kicking open a door that a whole lot of walkers can't break. Mike's totally out of character, out of nowhere betrayal. 400 Days characters meaning absolutely nothing. Jane, a "survivalist", doing something as antithetical to survival as goading a crazy man into killing her.
For the writers to go "We're just kidding, none of this actually happened" would have been perfect.
I agree with you on 400 Days. Important my ass. As for episode 4's deaths, I blame the new writer. He wasn't that good to be honest.
But I disagree on Mike being out of character and seeing a Dream ending as a good ending. Mike wasn't betraying the group because "fuck them." He just didn't want to be around Kenny because as everyone said, he's a ticking time bomb of emotion that is going to explode at any second. I didn't like how Mike did it, but if I were in his shoes, I'd probably want to get the hell out of dodge too. I mean, you could clearly see Mike showing distaste for Kenny's actions, and he even said, "I can't deal with this shit anymore." And a dream ending would've been a huge ass middle finger because then the whole entire journey would be rendered as pointless. If that were to happen, then I'd be like: "Thanks for wasting my time Telltale!"
