So...who do you think is NOT going to show up in Season 3? [SPOILERS]

edited August 2014 in The Walking Dead

Considering Bonnie/ Kenny, and Jane are all determinant characters, I doubt we will see any of them; considering Clementine's multiple endings I'm saying 60/40 odds against her favor too. I really like her character or development, but I feel there won't that many more stories to tell with her. I mean, there's of course stories, but she's coupleo f years off in terms of age. She's about 9, not even a teenager.

  • She's 11 well it only depends on what Telltale want to do with Clementine she's been though enough pain physically and emotionally how much more pain can they do to her?

  • Bonnie? Bonnie's status is unknown... she doesn't die as far as we know...

I think that Tell Tale can manage to make Episode 1 & 2 all different, but start to show major similarities from Episode 3 for all the end choices of No Going Back.

  • Bonnie can die, if you choose to cover Luke and don't break the ice when he's tapping on it. This will cause Bonnie to have no way to escape and drown/freeze as well.

  • Personally, I'm getting a little tired of TWD, so I really hope Clementine shows up again, because if she doesn't I'm not sure I can justify purchasing the next season. Everyone just seems to die, but at least with Clementine I get a character that I've grown to love. In a new season where I know everyone is likely going to die again, it would be too hard to attach myself to any of the characters and I simply wouldn't enjoy the season.

To me Clementine is the glue that holds the whole game together. She is the one person that I can rely on to live. Without her there is simply no reason for me to play it.

  • If telltale continues Clem's story they will have a huge task in front of them. Basically they will have to tie the endings of s2 into a common stoyline which is almost sure to invlidate the players choice.

If they can bind them together and keep the decision from s2 relevant in s3 I will be impressed-

  • Yeah, Telltale did a sneaky determinant for Bonnie. If you cover Luke, she will try to save Luke. She will fall in with Luke, and if you decide against breaking the ice, she will not come back up.

  • I'd like to see a Mad Max3 season in which they start to rebuild society.

It gets tired to meet new strangers only to find them fight each other so that in the end you are alone again.

As to characters, Jane and Kenny are out of the question. I think there is a flaw in telling a story from the perspective of a young girl who is much more mature than any of the adults who are supposed to care for her. So maybe let Clem grow a few years and let puberty cloud her judgment with some romance and hormons.

  • Oh sorry I did not know that x. x

  • I think that's a better ending for her... dying with the guy she liked... instead of leaving the rest for dead.

Bonnie can die, if you choose to cover Luke and don't break the ice when he's tapping on it. This will cause Bonnie to have no way to escape and drown/freeze as well.

  • Well, I didn't know either for a while. Unlike most determinant situations, this one is REALLY easy to miss, because I think most people would have either tried to to get to Luke and fall through, or cover for Luke, and THEN attempt to break the ice to save Luke. I doubt many would have abandoned Luke.

Ironically, completely abandoning Luke kills Bonnie, and if try to save Luke, Bonnie is never in danger.

  • I don't think we'll see Clementine anymore.

  • You know, if you told me a 11-year-old was going to be the protagonist of a major game, I would have said it was "quirky" at best. However, because of how Season 1 played out, Clementine had a lot of appeal as a protagonist for Season 2. And it made sense. If they tried to do it right out of the gate for Season 1, it would have been edgy but risky. It's one of the benefits of building the story and Clementine.

In any case, I believe this is why it seems so odd for you - because if they hadn't built up the story and Clementine in Season 1, this would have been very odd. Even the adults seem to implicitly or even explicitly recognize that Clementine is just smart and resourceful.

  • The Wellington and Howe's endings are across the country from eachother, so they really can't have a season 3 with Clementine without pulling some stupid shit like having Clem leave the place and fall in another river, ending up in some middleway point.(Which would be horrible storytelling.)

I think it's best that Clementines story ends here for outside of game reasons.. Such as the next season probably coming out on the next generation consoles, which would force everyone to buy S1 and S2 on the new console and replay them if they want their old decisions to count.

So as for who is going to be in the next season... Nobody that we know. Completely new people.

  • They way it ended, it seems its over for clem..season one we knew she would be back because of the ending, this one however looks as clem/kenny are riding off into the sunset.

  • Bonnie,Mike and arvo There the new cancer group. They may be in a DLC

  • Just new people and no Clem would suck and I and many other people won't buy it.

  • Carver may or may not be in it. Hard to know, really.

  • Plenty of people will buy it, I like Clem's story too, but oh well. There's nothing more they can do with it really.
