Whose gonna be the main character of season 3?
Theres plenty of possibilities to who can lead that would be good to see after the multiple endings of season 2. Personally I believe we will return with the 400 days group after carver and the herds deaths(if brought to howes hardware) or just where they go after the campsite if they didn't go. After mike and bonnie ran and left clementine to bleed to death outside, I believe they gotta come back along with arvo. Maybe they could have becca be the main protagonist for season 3.

In my version of the game, bonnie and luke disappeared, which I assumed (will assume until I see otherwise in season 3) was death, under the lake. It was only Mike and Arvo trying to escape. Becca was dead the entire episode because I shot her. I believed her to be a zombie. So Becca will not be the protagonist. I killed kenny and headed to Howe's with Jane.
Now, I believe that we will still be Clementine as the main character in the third season, because the only other character they gave us a real personal connection with (in my playthrough) was Jane or Kenny, and I'm not entirely sure but I think Jane doesn't make it in some people's games, and in mine Kenny's dead. I see no alternative to Clementine being the protagonist.
I'm assuming they'll introduce a new character, as none of the current non-determinant characters would really be fitting...Except for Clementine, but her endings are so branched out. I don't see Telltale making 5 or so unique branching paths for Season 3, and I feel like it'd be cheap if all of them ultimately resulted with Clementine in the same scenario at the beginning of the next Season.
That would be my guess as well with the ending of Season 2. I'd like to play an older character again, but it depends on what Telltale chooses. But I trust Telltale.

The easy road would be making new characters & new hero to the story. As others said Clem endings branched.
Hats off if they make branch stories for Season 3.
Also....when Ken & Clem reached their destination...I thought it was Lilly holding that rifle...I don't know why :P
Personally, I'd like to play as Kenny.
He's strong.
He's loyal.
And he's also smart and hardworking.
I WOULD NOT want to play as Bonnie or Mike.
They betrayed the group, all for the sake of some shitbird that attempted to rob them everything they had, and who was willing to kill them if necessary.
Which he proved when he shot Clementine, who's only 11 yrs old!
Also Wyatt would be cool to play as, except for one thing.
Wyatt, was not a very smart character, in my opinion.
Wyatt was so burnt out from drugs, it was almost ridiculous.
Aside from Kenny, another character I wouldn't mind playing as, is Leland, the man Bonnie was traveling with.
He seemed cool to me.
Be interesting to know what happened to him, after he ran out on Bonnie.
I hope they let us start as Kenny/Jane then switch to the real protagonist just for trolls trolololo
Tbh they ended the episode in a way that making her protagonist is very much possible. Just have all options you had in s2 ep5 get overrun by walkers or something and whoops you end up in the same place
I'll just copy/paste this from the other thread I posted in because I don't feel like coming up with something else.
It's possible that she (Clem) can be in it, just not as the protagonist. Like, maybe we'll play as somebody new from Wellington or something and we will come across Clem's character in different episodes depending on what ending you got in Season 2. Like for example, if Clem stayed at Wellington, you would meet her in Episode 1. If Clem went to Howe's with Jane, you would meet her in Episode 2 while trying to make a run there, etc.
Clem. Her story is not over. We have different endings to branch season 3 out into so there's no need to change character. Just means more work for Telltale with different starting locations :P
Well, Kenny, Bonnie, and Leland are all determinant... so we won't be playing as them
AJ because he is in all the endings
Nope both bonnie and Luke fell under the water and were never seen again for me. Only Mike and Arvo were trying to escape because bonnie was already gone.

I actually hope it's gonna be Lilly from Season One. Her story is clearly not finished, and I would love to know what happened to her.
I think Clem after a few years. Think about it! They can have her protecting AJ like Lee was protecting Clem in season 1.
Personally, I want our protagonist to be a whole different character. It would feel like a fresh new start with new characters and different stories. But I still want Clementine to be in the game.

I want it to start out as Clementine at Wellington, no matter which ending you get.
Kenny and Jane end up dying (if you went with them and not alone) and you end up going to Wellington and you find it. They let you in since you're a kid and a baby, and by the time Season 3 starts, Clementine would have been living there for 2-3 years with AJ.
If you stayed at Wellington and Kenny left, then it just does the same. Clementine starts off at Wellington.
