Are you satisfied with s2 overall?

just because the finale was good doesnt mean we overlook that episodes leading up to finale were not up to the mark, well thats my impression. Episodes 3 and 4 had severely weak plot, the execution was sloppy etc. you gotta improve standards in season 3 alot
What about you?

  • I loved the whole experiance! Oh, sorry am I being positive? I forgot this forum is all negativity! (Banter, ahah)

  • Yeah, a lot of untied ends. But overall I am happy, definitily not as happy as I was with season 1, but this had a lot of amazing moments. I agree that there is too much space to improve though.

Most of S2 was pretty damn mediocre; decisions that were made irrelevant, characters who were nothing more than glorified walking plot devices (Carlos, Rebecca, Sarita and Carver being the worst offenders), wasted potential (Carver's Encampment) and a whole lot more. All in all, Episode 5 managed to pull what was up until this point (with the exception of the excellent second episode) was a pretty damn unimpressive season. I was barely excited for Episode 5, but it they did such a good job on the finale that I'm interested in what they have in store for 3.

Telltale seem to write good beginnings and great endings, but it's the in-between (They ALWAYS seem to struggle with Episode 4 in all their recent games) episodes that need to get improved.

  • I have an overall great experiences with Season 2. It has its flaws, but in the end, it manages to keep the feels of Season 1.

It was not fun for me. All the things I personally like from TellTaleGames were removed and replaced with I have no idea since season 2 is missing about 4 hours of content compared to season 1

  • Definetly I liked more Season 1 than 2, but I enjoyed it. It had its tense and emotional moments and decisions (like when you have to choose who to sit with) that made me stop the game for a minute. Overall, it was great.

The thing I didn't like was the poor implication of the 400 days characters. Only Bonnie had a paper in the season, while the others only appeared on the background of Carver's group. I can understand that. It would be difficult to give them more importance since they player "chose" if they joined the group or not, and tying all the possible story outcomes would be hard... But anyway 400 days was like "yeah, these characters will appear the next season and depending on if they join the group or not it will have a repercusion in the story" and we saw that was not true.

  • Overall, yes I did. But I think the problem many users have is comparing this to the first season like, all the time. It wasn't as good, but that doesn't mean it was bad at all.

  • I loved it S1 is still better (only a little bit though) but S2 is definitely really good

  • Season 1 was better, but I still loved season 2 and it's still a great game. It's hard to follow up on something like the main character dying, and they gave it a fair shot. I just hope they put more time in it (since it's so popular) and make longer episodes. Also, I loved the puzzles you had in season 1 (get the keys for the medicine, get the train going) and I have no idea why they didn't continue with that.
