Jane in light of the darkness of my Clem

I was pretty harsh in my playthrough:

  • I let the dog suffer a slow death.
  • I abandoned Nick even though I knew Peter was bit.
  • I refused Victor water to let him suffer.
  • I watched Kenny beat Carver to death to watch him suffer.
  • I left Sarah to die because she wasn't worth the risk.
  • I chose to rob Arvo.
  • I shot Rebecca just because I knew it would end the standoff (I knew the shot would send everyone into a frenzy.)

I saw Jane in a much softer light compared to the harshness of my choices. She felt bad about killing the man during the shootout - I wanted to execute them all. She felt bad about the death of somebody she'd only just met (Luke). She came back when every instinct told her to leave. She remained calm and collected while everyone else tore the group apart.

I also saw Kenny through the lens of my Clem and saw just how harsh and cruel he was compared to Jane because we were basically the same kind of monster.
