Season 1 or Season 2

edited August 2014 in The Walking Dead

Which season you think is better and why? For me it is still season 1 because I liked to be in role of... guardian :D And I miss that cute little 9 years old Clem.

  • For me it's season two. It's difficult, but I go with season two.

Season one was the better experience. I was surprised how much a game like this could influence me. I started the first season on the 360, then I had no money and stopped after episode 2.

A few months later, after all episodes were released for iOS, I played season one on my iPad... I think it was an iPad 3 with a Retina Display (I don't have it anymore). It was so much fun playing with the touch controls. I finished Around Every Corner and No Time Left on a plane at night, and it was amazing. I'll probably never feel that way again, especially No Time Left. The feels, man, the feels. It was great. I loved every second of it.

Now, I've played season two, and I have to admit... while it wasn't the same experience, it was much more fun. The pace was faster, the game was more dirty, brutal, apocalypse-yer. It caught the comics' spirit better than the first season. I've enjoyed playing as Clementine much more than I enjoyed playing with Lee - I've never played a kid in such a video game before, it was something fresh, unexpected, and I wouldn't want to miss a second of Season Two - okay, maybe Nick's death.

It's close, but all in all, season one is the better experience, while I think that season two is the better interactive story. It's hard to tell. I enjoyed season two more than one, and I love the Clementine character.

It's really close though. I can't forgive the map puzzle on the train in episode three though. That map puzzle. Oh my god.
