It's a medieval fantasy where these different houses are fighting over the rights to this throne, or to be independent, and are all killing each other while these creatures are coming from north to kill them all, and most everyone is ignoring it because they're stupid. It's a lot bigger than that, but that's the basic plot (I probably did a pretty bad job summing it up, it's a lot cooler than it sounds).
A LOT of people die, and it doesn't matter who they are, anyone can die at any point in the story. A big theme of it is also the consequences of your choices, so it's a perfect game for telltale.
It pretty much comes down to whether or not you like a medieval setting, with dragons and magic (no elves and dwarves), with lots of twists and political stuff, and the occasional sword fight. I personally love it, but it's not for everyone.

Its hard to sum up but its a lore about many factions Fighting over the one seat to rule them all. The Iron throne! The throne its self isnt magic or anything its mostly just a representation of power forged out of some of the many swords used to claim the bounty of land that the current king (and many past king) that sits upon it holds.
Well its a bit more complicated than that but it takes on many aspects of politics from the past.
Sound boring but it focuses on specific characters and how the mold the world of westeros.
"In the game of thrones either you win or you lose there is no middle ground."
I really suggest reading the book.without any judgement's. I personally am not a fan of fantasy but everything in game of thrones is just too well written to pass up.
Well, I'd rather have a TWD DLC to bridge season 2 to season 3, but I'll probably get GoT and the Borderlands games anyway.
I'll have to say that I really didn't care for TWAU all that much, but I did really like BTTF and TWD, so I'll give TT the benefit of the doubt with the new IP"s.

Iron Form is maybe something to to with Ironborn?
So is it safe to assume that quote has something to do with the game, or....? I'm not a mind reader, telltale! We all already knew you were making a Game of Thrones game.

Could the Mannis be the series regular we'll meet in the game?
A lot of people say it is, my own brother tells me he likes the TV show and he's currently reading the first book. But from what I hear the first season starts off slow and part of the second, and then it gets awesome. I'll probably give it a shot in the future.
Comments
I can't pretend that I'm hyped.
Where's my Clementine?
Nice, seems like there's something new to talk about that isn't about the Jane/Kenny dillemma.
can't wait for Telltale's Game of Thrones! Fucking epic it will be...

What is dead may never die.
It seems we will indeed be getting something, but we don't necessarily know if it will be screenshots or not. I updated the title to clarify this.
....and incest
Mostly it's about deception.

For the king of the north!
You mean the King who lost the North.
Hope I don't have to watch the show to understand the game

More excited for game of thrones than walking dead season 3 honestly.
that quote could mean we either are playing as one of the Forrester clan or the Forrester clan is going to play a big role in telltale story
Not going to spoil anything but look up the quote they posted from "A dance with dragon's" and see what the book was talking about at that time.
Isn't the game supposed to be based off the show and not the books?
A Lannister always repays their debts.
It could mean a lot of things, if it means anything at all.
I read all the books, I know what it's talking about. Thanks though.
I'd love to. Stannis is my favourite candidate for the throne.
Never read a book or watched the show. Aware me on GOT is it any good.
no Clem no buy :P

i have seen all 4 seasons and yes it is a good show but if your planning on watching it my advice is to at least make it to episode 9
Trust me you will know if its "your kind of show" at that point lol
Isn't it about time that we add a Game of Thrones subforum? Or should we wait for a proper trailer?
they gave one to borderlands without releasing a proper trailer so why not game of thrones
There is a proper trailer for Borderlands.
I agree it's time. Once one is up I'm gonna be mostly there participating.
i thought that was just a teaser
