The walking dead best of them all?

So there's the wolf amoung us and soon there will be Game of thrones and Borderlands. However I honestly think that the combination of the genre of post-apocalyptic zombie games and multiple choice games is perfect. I just dont think I can get as attached to the characters in the wolf amoung us and therefore the other games as I can with the walking dead.
For that reason I realy want telltale to actually write season 3 with care, more similar to season 1 with a tight knit group of survivors. At this point the only people left in season 3 should be extremely battle-hardened and everyone should have big impact on all decisions and should all be out for each other. Season 2 was ridiculous and I was disapointed by the death dealt out, even to a character such as luke who I felt should've been carried over to season 3.
Season 2 was written so differently to season 1, I feel that no-one gets a "close call" anymore, if luke had fell in the lake and it was written in a way to season 1, luke would have just survived, but Bonnie would have died trying to save him, it would have been a bitter sweet type scenario, however in season 2 its if they can die in a situation they almost certainly will. Which sucks ass :( Such a shitty was for such a great character to die. What i'm saying is, because they have such a unique, great game they should write more carefully and use characters such as Luke, who come around once in a season to full potential. Anyone agree? If not, state so in a non-abusive mannor.
btw for those saying luke surviving would have got in the way of the end here's how I propose the writers could have done so:
Have Luke get out the car with Kenny and look for diesel then they all end up in the same place. Possibly have him knocked unconscious by something during the fight, he' sitting down resting due to his leg when a shelf falls and knocks him unconscious from Jane and Kennys scrap and then have him awake in time for him to stumble out in the background drearily saying "wait...stop" and then our decision takes place, we shoot Kenny or not then all endings finish with at least Luke and clem together.. Luke felt like a proper Lee figure in my opinion, he had Mike right all along, he didnt trust him and we all disagreed with him, but he was right :(
