Alternative Kenny Choice

edited August 2014 in The Walking Dead

So I decided to replay the last bit of 'No Going Back' awhile ago where I let Kenny kill Jane & told him I'm not going with him.

Damn that got me friggin' sad.

Can't remember exactly what happened or word by word but Kenny basically lets you go agreeing he is too dangerous for Clem/AJ. He tells Clem to take good care of him & to tell him all the people who sacrificed themselves to make sure he is safe, to tell him about his parents & make sure he is raised right. Clem then walks away & Kenny says one more thing, "Don't worry lil' guy, you've got a big sister looking out for you now". Clem & AJ leave while Kenny stands there seriously sad looking with his head down... Ah the feels :/.

Again this is by pure memory/not exact words but if you wanna see for yourself pick this choice.

EDIT: This wasn't my main decision, I choose this out of curiosity. My ending was Clem/AJ Alone, Kenny deserved to finally have rest & I don't/won't ever forgive Jane for what she did.

This is a wrong choice because you didn't leave with Kenny! How could you do that???
Just kidding :) (I killed him in my playthrough btw)

Seriously, I watched all 7 endings, and the only one I really don't like is the one where Clem lets Kenny kill Jane, then shoots him. I'm not saying that was a wrong choice, I don't think there was a universally right/wrong choice at all, it's just...too sad for me, I guess. You don't get a last speech from Kenny or Jane, and leave with the idea that Clem will never be happy again... she seems to distrust the whole humanity, and to lose something in her heart. That's why I don't like it, but at the same time I consider it the most emotional ending of all.

  • Maybe that's why I ended him... I wanted my last memory of Kenny to be of someone that cared. I knew that sooner or later he would lose someone again and lose it.

Exactly. I believe despite all he has done good/bad he deserved an end & especially with someone who cared about him as much as he to her.

  • Don't like that choice either at all. I agree it kinda leaves a bad taste in your mouth after that :/.
