Question about comic book canon and the game canon
Hello, guys and girls. It's not really my own personal question but I was discussed this with the people that I know and I'm curious. For what I know Telltale Games series The Walking Dead is canon to the comic book series created by Robert Kirman, yes? Yes. The story in this game actually happened in the comics as Telltale and Kirkman said that lots of times in the past but one of my friends tried to convince me that this is bullshit. I mean he claims that the game is based on the comic book universe but that's it. He said that it doesn't took place in the comic book series but for what I know it does.
And what do you guys think? You agree with my or with my friend? Because I think evidences are pretty clear that game story took place in the comic book. I mean Telltale said that when they announced season 1 on Playing Dead and Kirkman said that too so I don't know what to think about what my friend said.
