He could have had a bigger group waiting to kill us , killing arvo was removing a huge risk.

Luke finds Clementine and AJ, and becomes their immortal guardian through the zombie apocalypse.
It turns out, Luke was actually a merman/human hybrid as he explains to Clem why he lived.
