Am I the only one who has a slight problem with Clem Swearing?
I mean looking back on how she was in S1 with her making a point to call Lee out each time he makes a swear(Even though I thought it was cute how she'd react if swear for the first time in front of her), and now looking at her at 11 years old and no afraid to go past the words "hell" or "Shit" into "Asshole" and F bonds is quite a change and it's definitely taking me some getting used to. I know for a fact if she became a huge potty mouth it would definitely be an issue though and feel like it's out of character.

She really doesn't cuss unless you pick the option to have her curse. I might have just forgotten them, but the only time I remember her swearing without the player choosing her too is at the beginning of Episode 1 (S2) when she knocks over a water bottle, and says "Oh, shit." Even then, that only happens because I decided it was a good idea to tell a 8-year old that that smell was "Shit."
You have the choice to let her curse, the only time she does it without your choice is when she says oh shit on the bridge, other than that it's on you.
She's been in a Screwed up world with people constantly cussing....of course it's gonna rub off on her.
Meh, it doesn't really bother me
I don't like her swearing either. Fortunately, we get a choice most of the time.
Well, Clementine is living in the zombie apocalypse, it may seem inappropriate for her to swear, but remember that she is her own person, we may influence her decisions and move her around, but she adds her own dialogue to the decision you influenced.
Acting like you guys weren't all cursing at 10 with your friends at school.........
Well Clementine is still just an child and once you hear people swear so much your bond to pick it up.
It shows that she's growing up from a little kid to a young adult. I did the same thing. I didn't like cussing as a kid, but now it's totally normal.
Clem even said the f-word (determinant), probably for the first time in her life.
Soon, she will smoke and drink, just wait for it
My Clem doesn't curse much. I remember her once saying Shit, And it was intentional. Aside from that, She doesn't really curse and she told Alvin to watch his language and told Kenny to stop swearing.
My Clem took a sip from the rum though. :P
I'm glad someone else noticed this.
I have younger siblings in the same age group as Clem who subconsciously pick up sayings that I use all the time (remember Season 1, if you state "sh*t" at the beginning of the game Clem repeats it, S1 and S2 without player direction). Think about the amount of language Clem has heard during here adventures, I think it's very realistic that she would pick up a few words here or there.
EDIT: Sorry, had typos and grammar fails all over this post, man I need a coffee.
"You're fucking crazy."-Clem
I have a slight problem with her constantly having to shoot the people she cares about. But shit happens.
My Clem swore a lot, she also is an alcoholic, and a smoker.
List of my Clem swearing
oh shit!
I'm not an asshole.
Oh shit.
Holy shit.
This is bullshit.
List of my Clem drinking and smoking
Drank Moonshine with Nick
Drank rum with Jane
Smoked with Bonnie
would you rather clem become a static character and never change at all. and plus she only really cusses with out your input once and i can't believe she has not cussed sooner being around all those f bombs.
Actually if you let the timer run out, she doesn't curse.
She hears the F word every other two seconds, so of course she is gonna end up saying some of them. As long as it's a situation that is necessary for a swear, I'm fine with it. I don't want her turning into Ellie as if swear words are the only thing in her vocabulary.
She says oh shoot
DON'T SAY THAT!
MY CLEM!
Clem can smoke and drink
Clem can drink with Nick if you save him over Pete, Jane offers rum and Clem can accept
If you tried to help Luke, Bonnie offers her a smoke and Clem can accept
I never heard her say the F-bomb. She doesnt do it very much, maybe 3 or 4 times in 10 episodes. Considering how everyone else swears like there's no tomorrow, of course she's going to pick it up. It doesnt bother me.
Oh well than that just proves my point even more
That depends on what you tell her in Season 1.
Dang, you covered all the bases, my parents wouldn't like you.
I remember when I was 13, my mom offered me wine because of New Year's Eve, I accepted. Found me passed out with an empty bottle in my hand.
So long as you didn't eat the sugar crystals, you should be fine.
Another time where I pranked a kid's drink in school I filled his bottle up with beer, kid was drunk off his ass and tried to hit on a girl he liked, and they never found out who did it.
I'm guessing the girl wasn't too thrilled?
Kicked him square in the balls.
He should be glad he didn't hit on Jane, he wouldn't have any to be kicked.
The best part is her name was Jane. XD
My Clem is a ROCKSTAR. She drinks, she swears, and if given the option, WILL SMOKE. Hardcore Clementine. (I covered Luke, so I didn't get the option to smoke.) But yeah, she drank moonshine and rum, and swears at every turn, like a hardcore badass. (Might I add that I do swear, but mostly for comedy, but I neither smoke nor drink, so don't use those judging eyes on me.)
My Clem arriving at Carver's camp.
Carver: Welcome to your new home.
Clem: Whatever, where's the beer?
Nick: I'm with Clem on this one.
Kenny: Me too.
He better be glad she didn't have a gun. Or pepper spray.
I know it must sound scary to you, but children usually do this thing called growing up.
And growing up in the apocalypse, you priorities are really off regarding what she should and should not do.
They're in for a shock when they discover Bill doesn't let people drink.
Go away.
Doesn't bother me really.
