How do you think Season 3 starts?
Now as much as I love Clementine as a character, I believe this IS the end. The fact that we have so many endings shows us that we can end her story in our own personal way.
The endings all seem far too away from each other to make sense in the next season. IF we all start the same, it'll almost be impossible.
In my opinion, this is the end of Clementine's story. Tell Tale wants us to end Clementine's story OUR way.
I'd probably cry if they announced there'd be a new main character.

I would actually prefer it if Clem's story ended here. Partly for an emotional reason, in that I got to walk off into the sunset (snowstorm?) with Kenny at the end. Not just that, but also because each ending leaves the story open-ended enough to satisfy our imagination as to how they may ultimately end up. It makes more sense that due to multiple endings Clementine's story would be over, but I honestly think they'll stick with Clementine for season 3.
"This multiple ending isn't like the others! Jesus , all y'all are making it worse!
Okay then what are your thoughts?![;) ;)](https://community.telltale.com/resources/emoji/wink.png)
I honestly feel the same. And I love your ending choice. I actually stayed at wellington, I felt every bit of pain raging through me watching Kenny walk away hatless and by himself. I would live with it if that's her ending but I also would be overjoyed to see her return
A dlc that makes all the endings end up in the same place.
Most likely wellington or carvers camp.
Ahhh but if you read the end of my post you'd see that I did admit they'll most likely stick with Clem in spite of my personal preference![;) ;)](https://community.telltale.com/resources/emoji/wink.png)
Have Lilly as new protagonist.
They might do another time skip where everyone will have the same start to season 3 or maybe we will have different intros ( that will tie into the main story). I'm not sure how they will do it
I fully accept that despite Kenny living in my ending (as well as yours) they'll kill him off for season 3 because he's determinant. I get that, I do. I'm just glad that he didn't die at my hands, because I would feel too guilty :P
Jane and Kenny die 3 minutes into the start of S3. Then there's a 16 month time skip.
actually that's is a good analysis. but I still don't think so. some endings can just open up the story. I mean the ones where clem just left with the baby. its kinda like the last scene of s1, it just leaves you wondering, whats next?, what happens with my clem? I mean every single one keeps you to want to see more, and can definitely be more. the only one that really kinda ends, that gives a sorta satisfying end is the one were you stay at wellington.
The developers hinted towards Clem being the protagonist in season 3 (or at least implied she will be included), in an episode of Playing Dead.
For me TWD-game has become the story of Clementine and I'm sure that many feel the same way. Theres no way that they'll end her story here, after all this building of her character and her popularity among fans. Just look at what they did for Kenny, people liked him so much they practically brought him back from the dead! Im sure they can tie the endings together somehow. Ideal option would be some unique gameplay for every ending, which would then all end up at the same situation somehow. This would obviously require a lot of work, but it would be far more satisfying then say, a timeskip.
I really want some proper closure for Clem's story, before I can give her up as a character. At the same time I'm quite terrified at what that would mean.. Closure in The Walking Dead is rarely a good thing..
Well it seems most likely that we will play Clem again. At least some comments from Telltale on the last "IGN: Playing Dead" gave that indication.
If we play Clem I think all Clems will end up in Wellington. At least in my head it would make sense. If you go with kenny and decide to not stay there, they tell you that they maybe take new people in a few months. So it would be possible that Kenny and Clem try it again and get a spot. Even Jane and Clem could end up there after they stayed at Howe's for a while.
Solo Clem + AJ would instantly get a spot in Wellington if they just showed up by themselves.
Clem doesn't have to be the protaginist to be included in the story. What would be the point of starting all over again with completely different characters ? There has to be at least something that ties all the seasons together for continuity. My idea is that she will be a side character that we will meet in one of the places where we left her (Wellington, Howe's, around Wellington with Kenny or somewhere alone), it wouldn't be hard for them to do that.
If episode 5 was really the end of Clem's story and that we are never meant to see her again (and I have to admit that the Wellington ending really points in that direction) then I would feel like it's a waste of potential. But at the same time, if it's the only way Clem can stay alive, then it's probably for the best as I would hate seeing her die.
I don't think telltale bother himself to show us 5 different stories and then link them together. The easiest thing for them is to show us a one month time skip at the beginning then showing Clem find a new group or meet Lily/Christa and tell them how Kenny/Jane died like telling the family killed Jane or Kenny died trying to save the baby.
No idea...
Yeah but that's super unfulfilling. You'd be insane to do that, it'd pretty much be like "Yea so the most important bit of S2 doesn't matter and happens offscreen durrr! Stick with Season 3 so that we can make your decisions feel even MORE meaningless!" That'd be product suicide.
That would be awfully similar to season 2 beginning dont you think? Omid dies, timeskip, christa and Clem get separated, Clem finds a new group. I sure hope they won't repeat this same old formula next season.
I done the exact same thing and I had the exact same feelings when Kenny walked into the distance. I wanna see Clem in Season 3 as their's still plenty more to do with her character. I think Wellington will be the main focus of s3 and we shall continue Clem story. I wouldn't mind a new main character as long as it worked which i think telltale could easily pull off.
It's not easy to make 5 story lines. maybe they show Clem having some time with kenny/jane but it won't be more than 10 minutes. what else can they do?
It's always happening , friends die and you meet new people. a story can't happen just with Clem and Kenny/Jane .besides Kenny and Jane are both already dead cause they are determinant.
The way they do it will be fulfilling and all the choices from season 1 were meaningless too. which one was meaningful?
Ridin' in a jeep as Nate.
I made a thread about this a while ago saying that they should make a 800 days DLC to give you time either alone or with your respective companion for a period of 800 days but in episodic fashion the way 400 days was delivered. That way your choice doesn't seem meaningless and you get to spend 800 days off camera with your buddy/alone which would drastically shape Clem and AJ and then put them into a new situation. My problem with determinates isn't that they die, it's that they die quickly and stupidly and if you end the season on a determinate you've suddenly got a wealth of possibilities open to you and I hope they do something with it.
Yeah, this would be a good and marketable idea for Telltale. TWDG DLC is like guaranteed profitable anyway, but even more so if it features Clem and our determinate characters and expands on the S2 finale ep
A new character that runs into Clem hunting in the woods or something
