Is a long term partnership ever going to happen in the walking dead?

So I have been putting some thought into this.
The partnership Clem and Lee had was heartwarming and incredible, in my opinion I would have liked for it to last into season 2 where Lee is then killed off.
In season 2 Kenny, essentially Clems best and most trusted friend is killed off.
I've realized that everyone Clem has knows hasn't lasted more than 1 season except Kenny, who can be killed in the same season when he's re-united with her, but wont make it far into season 3 if you stay with him.
So it makes me wonder if we're ever going to see Clem make a partnership with someone she really gets on with (such as Luke, who I thought were a perfect team, better than her and Jane anyway, because Luke seems to co-operate better with others) and have it last longer than a season? I feel its going to get boring and obvious if they dont have a partnership that last long. In fact, this is a long shot but I would like to see a partnership that last for about 3+ seasons, someone who will always have Clem's back. Its not totally unrealistic to be with someone and have them survive for a long while, if anything It'd be a breath of fresh air. I mean Clem has lasted 2 seasons, now most likely going to last 3 why is it impossible for others to last 3 seasons as well, I mean obviously a group of 5 people cant, but it would be nice to see this:

  • One person, a lee or luke type figure survive with Clem for a long while and maybe not die at all.
  • A group of about 5 survivors including Clem survive 2 seasons
I dont think any of the above is impossible, think about it, its about 2 years into the apocalypse and all survivors should be essentially bad-asses by now, theres no room for Ben's to be added into season 3. I feel like I'd appreciated a story of about 7 people who stick together over 2 season and only about 3 maximum die. Not only would this mean that everyone in the group would be like family, they would mean so much more when they die and have a big impact on the way the group functions.

  • I surely cant be the only one who would rather have a small group of survivors last over 2 seasons with about 2-3 casualties than a group of about 10 people resulting in only 2 that cant die, like season 2 (Mike and Clem).

  • I surely cant be the only person who finds a game like the walking dead interesting if characters die all the bloody time? I would rather have a death once a season or so and a well written storyline, as the developers wont need to worry about too many people and waste time killing off characters, they instead can focus on a great story.
Does anyone agree with this concept? i feel like not only would it give my feels a break period, but killing off characters all the time within the first season they're introduced generally doesnt matter much to me, the only person who did have an effect was Lee, I cried, but that because he was an innocent girls guardian and beacon of hope. Most people like Kenny didnt really spark an emotional response in season 1. Think about it, in season 1 many people didnt care, but because he spanned across 2 seasons, even those who didnt like him initially ended up really caring about him and his ending was just as sad as Lee's. So if telltale keep killing off characters within the 1st season they're introduced it wont make me cry, Lee was the only one who made me do that, but we're never, ever going to get another Lee again, he was too unique, and now Clementine will be much older in seasons 3 Telltale, in my opinion will have to afford people the chance to last 2 seasons if they want the same emotional response, the father/guardian type figure wont work anymore so I dont see us getting as attached to any character within 1 season as we did with Lee. So please, for the sake of making a good game, I really, desperately want Telltale to make a group that lasts. Not forever, but for a long enough time that they all seem to be like Lee was, all bad-asses, all caring for each other, and maybe, just maybe, have a partnership like Clementine and AJ last all the way until the apocalypse is over. That'd be enough feels for me, I dont need a sad ending to cry. Anyone agree?
