I'm going to replay the first and second series again to decide who to go with. Right now, considering they're both so gray-hat I think I'm going to go with Jane (they're both bad in their own ways and both have their good points and I prefer Jane).
Interesting study and discussions. However the study gave the players set characters whereas playable characters in TWD (or Mass Effect, Dragon Age,...) are determined by the player. Is the character evil because the player is? Is the player's evilness strenghtened by his choice to play an evil charater?
Regarding the ending choice in TWD, from my point of view, there was no good or bad choice. For me it was a situation of two people I grew to like trying to kill one another. It was like a (very bad) parental fight from the POV of their child where the child is asked to side with one parent over the other. A reverse Sophie's Choice.
There's an easy to follow summary (From Gamespot) here:

Nope. I shot Kenny and then ended up alone. His death speech was so touching. I like the Kenny endings too, so I have 2 save files with Clem in Wellington and with Kenny, and I'll play my original ending and these 2 if the endings will matter in Season 3. But still, being alone is a good ending, both Kenny and Jane have flaws.
I did,i like Jane at first but i felt like i was betraying Kenny at first...i felt sick inside and i hated Jane for what she Did.so i changed...now it's Kenny Clementine and AJ.

I'll probably play both strands.
