Season 3 needs to be happier. Less depressing?

So the title is unrealistic, and I'm sure i'm gonna get insults thrown at me for even hinting at the myth which is happiness in the telltale world of the walking dead, but fuck it.

  • We have had 2 roller coaster seasons now, losing Lee, Clems father figure and then Omid and christa as well as Kenny due to him being determinant,, the past 2 seasons have been death, death everywhere.
  • Now when I say a happy season I dont mean prancing around fucking zombies up with the greatest of ease, but I mean like a semi-happy season which takes a break from the character massacre currently going on in the walking dead.
  • I for one would really appreciated something similar to the first couple seasons of the show, by that I mean 3-4 very strong characters you're going to grow attached to and become essentially family with. I would prefer to have a smaller group of badasses who look out for each other because everyone bonds, wont he whole better and everyone looks out for each other, because they know with small numbers they cant afford to lose anyone. This would play into Telltales hands as well, in a group of about 5 very strong characters including Clem herself, (6 w/ AJ), they dont have to kill off 5 people to have a big impact in a season. 1 death would be much more devastating than 3-4 insignificant deaths.
  • Does anyone understand what I mean? I dont want them to get rid of killing characters all together in season 3, however if they decide to have the group stay together from the start to finish in season 3 I would admire them for that, it would make sense considering at this point in the apocalypse everyone should be more than capable of going a season without dying and I wouldnt be able to wait for season 4 if they did that, because you know if you've had no deaths in season 3, season 4 is gonna be one hell of a rollercoaster, and the deaths will mean so much more because if telltale dont have to focus on killing off about 5 characters a season, and who will fit in where, they can focus on better character development and a more focused storyline! I'm not saying I think we should have no deaths in season 3, but I feel we should have 2 maximum. Why? Because at this point in the apocalypse survivors arent stupid, the survivors are gonna know how to take on zombies just like Clem. They shouldnt look at Clem thinking, oh i never thought about kicking a walkers leg before i stabbed him in the head, instead Clem should be looking up to the others for advice. I also feel Telltale cant keep aking each season a bloodbath, season 1 was a bloodbath, but it had a great story, which was focused and a heart warming relationship between Lee and Clem, season 2 was even more of a clusterfuck, as soon as clem arrives at the Lodge, Pete a survivor for over a year makes a rookie mistake and gets bit, why? For drama...things only go bad when Clem turns up, and I feel its being unrealistic in an overly depressing way. Season 2 also didnt have as structured of a story and Clem didnt really have much of a connection with any one specific character. if they make the same mistake of hurling the kitchen sink at us straigh away in regard to deaths, then i'll be disappointed.
  • I've taken the long way round to explain what I mean but does anyone see where i'm coming from? Try to be polite as I'm just making a suggestion and want a discussion with others, not an argument.
Thanks, upvote it if you agree and if you dont tell me why!
