Did anybody think it'd get like this?

So when we first played The Walking Dead back in 2012, (I'm guessing most of us never played a game from/heard of Telltale Games or The Walking Dead) did anybody think it'd be like this? This amazingly-written narrative with great characters, and incredible voice-acting? I certainly didn't know what to think when I first picked it up but I was excited for each episode.

Then Season Two came out, and it was great seeing Clementine grow up and all these new characters (even if it wasn't as good as Season One, but before it was released I knew there was little to no chance they could top the first season).

But looking back, look at all the characters we've lost, went missing, left us, etc. It's kinda good. But at the same time, even though it depends on your ending, things have gotten quite dire.

Did any of you think things would get like this? In this situation (depending on your ending), or where did you think things would've gone?

  • At april 2014 I saw pewdiepie's walking dead video.Although I had heard about this game,I had no idea what it is about.I saw some scenes where you kill zombies with your axe and I was like "This action game is awesome!Lets buy it." It didnt turn out as an action game tho.(Im glad it didnt, the story was written so well.)

  • That sounds cool, I didn't see youtubers play the episodes until after I played the first three episodes :D

  • Well I heard of it from my friend, he was saying each time a new episode came out that he was playing etc and I thougth.. Wtf TWD game? Must be boring L4D shit :P

Let's just say I was mighty surprised!

  • I was watching it since episode one on youtube , then when episode 2 came out I just got it :P

  • I watched a couple parts on youtube and said "That looks fun, let's try it out." but I no idea how invested I would be in the story when I played that first episode.

  • TWD and Blackwell games brought me back to adventure/quest games.
