Just got unbanned, so here's my review for Episode 5. (SPOILERS, DUH)
Okay so I was just unbanned today, I guess. I was banned so I didn't get to share my thoughts on the final episode of season two. So spoilers ahead (if you didn't read the title.......................whatever, let's get this show on the road.)
1st off... Mike, you fucking betraying scumbag, I'm so disappointed to have this avatar in the first place, well - I'm going to change it because fuck Mike. And FUCK BONNIE. And Arvo too.
Let's go back to the beginning, loved the pulp fiction reference, surprised Jane came back - and I was happy too, until......well I'll cross that bridge when I get to it. I knew Mike was at least going to get wounded, if not killed. Luke got shot in the damn leg. Now, I didn't really give two shits about Luke before, especially after Episode 3 and 4. But Nick Breckon brought me back into his character. Nick Breckon is the fucking man, this episode is proof of it.
The campfire scene was so beautiful, I loved the development with Luke, the whole 'convince kenny and jane' thing, and it was a blast. The whole Arvo prisoner thing was pretty cool, but every time Kenny was beating on the kid, I fucking stepped in to defend him, and he STILL SHOOTS ME. Well, fuck that kid.
So, Luke's death.
....................................
WTF?
Okay, first of all - if you cover Luke, it says you didn't help him. WHAT? So in Telltale's definition, covering him is the same as leaving him to die? Anyways - I thought it was pretty stupid how fucking Bonnie decided to take matters in her own hands and fucking got them both killed. In my original playthrough, I tried to save him and watched him get pulled down to the bottom of the lake by that walker - that's fucking horrible. Goddamn it. I cared about Luke now - and he motherfucking died. At least Luke actually showed some sadness for the people around him who died this episode, unlike 3 and 4 - which weren't very good episodes at all. Especially three, but this episode made the season better for me. Two out of five episodes were great. Episode One was okay, but eh...
So, the whole betrayal thing. FUCK YOU, MIKE....and Bonnie. I fucking trusted them both, and they leave me with KENNY and JANE?!? And they also take all your fucking supplies.
I cried pretty hard at the Lee dream sequence. Fuck me, dude. I chose 'That you won't leave me.' and then he responded, 'I wouldn't do that. I promise.' TEARS.MOTHERFUCKING.TEARS.
And then I hoped Season 2 was all a dream, but NOPE. Back with Kenny and Jane, sarcastic woo
The whole argument in the car was totally uncalled for - Jane was out of goddamn line. She needed to stop. And then Kenny exits the car, and I'm stuck with Jane. JANE. I hate this fucking woman so much. Well, I didn't hate her as much as when I first played it. The last twenty minutes made me wish that Jane had never came back.
Kenny's pretty uhh, coo-coo, right? The baby is pretty much the only thing that keeps him going - I guess? Jane's stupid fucking plan pissed me off SO MUCH.
The whole fight was intense, god damn it was so fucking intense. When I got the decision, I was like - SHIIIIIT. This is Pizza and Ice Cream. Now, I didn't even want a Luke/Kenny choice, but I really thought a Luke/Kenny choice was better - cause the buildup for Kenny/Jane was at the halfway point of the episode.
I shot Kenny.
Why?
He was out of fucking control, but I immediately regretted it afterwards. I cried when I shot him, screaming to myself what the fuck I had done. I said he was going to see Katjaa and Duck, and then he said 'You're always good for a smile.' goddamn it, that broke me.
And then the baby is alive. WHAT THE FUCK. WHAT THE FUCK. Was my exact reaction, basically.
I told Jane she was fucking crazy, cause I couldn't pass up Clem's first F-Bomb. Plus, I was incredibly pissed at Jane.
I left that bitch. Fuck her. I got a shitty ending, and I found out there was more. I played the Jane endings, and they sucked. Kinda. Thought that Patricia girl was Molly for a second..
Kenny's endings are SO MUCH BETTER. I played the 'Stay at Wellington' ending and cried -- when he gave the hat, that shit was fucking sad as hell.
Well, great episode. Fuck Mike, Bonnie, Arvo and Jane. RIP Luke, Kenny(in my playthrough at least, I'm so sorry Kenny.),
Easily the best episode of the season. Second best is Episode 2 - and well thats the only good episodes in the season.
..................................
Until Season 3.
I guess.
Without Clementine, probably.
FUCK.
Comments
Nah we should have Clem as protagonist... I don't know why they would even think of not having her in Season 3. It's bad for the series, bad for sales. Just a bad decision. It's Clem's life in a zombie apocalypse... You don't see many TV shows change up their protagonist/s. Why should this
I just don't want them to ruin the five endings, (two of them are actually good) by killing off who you were with, and then Clem ends up alone AGAIN.
