How would you feel? (Hypothetical)

This is a purely made up senerio that shows how seemingly good decisions can end up hurting you.

Let's say Sarah survived until episode 5. And for the sakes of this senerio, lets say Jane was more compassoinate towards Sarah just like she was with Clem. Ok, now what if after Carlos' death, Jane was the one who comforted Sarah and for all intents and purposes, lets say they became friends. Now what if when Kenny is about to stab Jane, Clementine is unable to hold her gun due to her injury, and Sarah picks up the gun.

Now this is where the WTF moment occurs. How would you feel, if by teaching Sarah how to shoot a gun, she ends up shooting Kenny and saving Jane, BUT if you didn't teach her, she will try to shoot him but ends up missing and thus Kenny kills Jane.

How would you react knowing that by showing Sarah to defend herself, you indirectly ended up sealing Kenny's/Jane's fate? I for one would be more shocked then angry/upset. I wouldn't know how to feel, or how Clementine would feel. Do you think we could see something similar and complex in season 3? Leave your comments and tell me what you think.

  • I would then kill her

  • Well then

    I would then kill her

  • She would break the pinky swear, and you know what happens to people who break the pinky swear....

  • I'd be so blown away, I don't think I'd know how to feel.

  • I would give her a high five, despite the fact that she killed Kenny. And then I'd try to convince her to leave Jane and stick with me and AJ.

And maybe rewind and not teach her how to shoot if I was feeling really sad about Kenny dying.

  • I'd feel super bad. Probably end up leaving her if I could.

  • That would have been a good use of the "teaching Sarah to shoot" scene. As is, there was no reason for it at all.

  • She would have done what she thought was right, so I would commend her.

  • I feel that this is like the Nick situation. You can idirectly kill him depending on what you say. This of course was resolved in the same episode. If this really happened, you'd have to practiaclly replay the whole season to see how the outcome changes.

  • No matter what happens I'd find Sarah more reliable than either of them.

  • Ouch?

    I would then kill her

  • I honestly have to agree with that in a degree.

  • I'd have changed my mind about her if she actually did that.

Unlike Kenny, Sarah doesn't let her anger control her actions and she obviously couldn't kill someone easily.

Unlike Jane, Sarah doesn't try to use manipulation tactics to try and persuade Clementine to be with her.

To top it off, Sarah actually wants to learn how to survive, she kind of rebels against a psychopath and no matter how Clementine treated her, Sarah always calls out for her in the end.

  • i think it would be an irritating unpredictable butterfly effect thing, that isn't the kind of "choice" that the walking dead game is about, the choices are supposed to be immediate and somewhat predictable, because otherwise you aren't really making choices, you are just gambling with random outcomes, that have no relevance to your decisions.
