trouble with S1 Ep2

I bought TWD off of stream, played episode 1 and now all my choices did not carry over to episode 2 and when I restarted it all I get is a black screen with forest sounds how do i fix it

    try to reinstall it and restart your computer / laptop ! but protect your save files! put them in folder on your dekstop

    Make sure you are playing on the same save file and rewind to the last part of episode 1.
