Why hate mike and bonnie when? (spoilers)

I admit, I was PISSED at Mike and Bonnie, primarily for including Arvo in the escape, and moreso for Bonnie because this is the second time we see her betray someone (third if you make her lie to leland, or four if you consider her confessing to Dee that she messes with Leland). Anywho, isn't it hypocritical to be upset at them when many of us took Rebecca and left Roman's group when we played as Shel in 400 days. What about when we stood up to Nate as Russel? The common denominator is leaving someone who displays sociopathic persona and displaying qualities of a dictator, being controlling. Thoughts?
