End Choices

I'm glad that Telltale gave us the third ending. The way my first playthrough went, I chose "look away" when my gun was out -- assuming that I would shoot at them both and hopefully the gunshot would wake them both up to what they were doing. Obviously Jane is killed, and then you're given the choice to either kill Kenny or stick with him. If you do point the gun at Kenny, his surrender and acceptance of his own brutal nature, in my mind, yields the most moral outcome. For everyone fighting between Kenny or Jane, I say you're both right when it comes to the anger projected against the other (i.e. Kenny fans justifying Jane's demise, and vice versa).

At first I was on team Jane, only because I felt that Kenny escalated things too immediately. I get that it's a shock for him to think he's lost AJ, and Jane had been goading him already, but to immediately say, "I am going to destroy you" without at least first hearing her side of the story is an act out of desperation and madness. Kenny did run outside and look around, but then turned around and attacked rather than saying (or sure, shouting -- it's a nightmare scenario), "where did you lose him? where is he? at least show me/tell me, I want to try to get him back/see it for myself".

However, Kenny fans are also right in saying that the kind of person who would manipulate a situation -- acting on chance alone, really, because that could have played out 1,000 different ways -- so that a kid has to kill an unstable adult.....well that is some dangerous logic.

Kenny and Jane can share some rum in the afterlife as far as I'm concerned. Mike, Bonnie, and Arvo are garbage, and Kenny -- who was a decent enough guy in season one but was on a downward spiral in S2 -- and Jane aren't fit to be Clem's guardians either. She's still a kid, so I do hope she encounters someone who can be of help and won't be a creeper, but by this point she's obtained enough skills to make a go of it herself.
