yeah, exactly "sweet" and "competent" aren't mutually exclusive, sure a lot of the time people that are "tough" would rather not show a softer sweeter side, i think someone with the confidence to be kind and loving and at the same time be a badass is way cooler than the tough/cold stereotype that is often used, like imagine if sarita had taken out a whole bunch of zombies without breaking a sweat, then went back to caring for sarah and clementine, that would have been awesome, i would imagine kenny being like "that's my girl" in awe and admiration.
Sweet people are great.
But in life or death situations... Competent people are best. Those are not mutually exclusive. Lee was the nic… moreest person to everyone (unless they give him reason not to be) and was the voice of reason but he knew how to handle any given situation.
Ok... That makes sense. I think Sarah's issue wasn't here "sweetness" but her inability to deal with the harsh realities. She was clearly over sheltered by Carlos and had no idea how to handle being thrown into it. Begs the question how Carlos managed to do that considering they were with Carver before they escaped before season 2 started.
Clementine was the sweetest little girl in season 1 but she had Lee who took care of her and trained her on how to survive. Imagine if someone like Carlos showed up at Clem's house.....
I never said that. I meant character-wise. If another innocent girl like Sarah were to be introduced, she would most likely have a horrible death to serve as shock value. That would bring nothing new to the table, and I'd rather not see it again.
If the character's arch is gonna end like Sarah's, then no thanks.
But I'd still like a character like her that we can teach how to survive. If we play as Clementine and do this, it'll really show how much Clementine's grown as a person.
Sarita was so nice and caring and selfless (she ran back to Clem and Sarah to kill the walker). But Sarita wasn't even developed she just talked about Kenny and was a plot device from the start.

Nick can die in episode 2, depending if you told Walter that Nick was a good man or not.
I want a well developed Sarita in S2.
