My thoughts about season 2
So before I start I want to say that I am a really big fan of Telltale games, and I really loved their games but I honestly disliked season 2. Now I may sound rude. But This is just That I am going to write non-stop so please try to see from my point of view :
I loved season 1 of The Walking Dead but I really disliked season 2. Season 2 just doesn't make sense. Everyone is lost without Clementine. Every adults in the game would be dead without Clementine ! Like that doesn't make sense. Ok Clementine learned from Lee so she knows how to survive but they could have made something better than this. Instead you meet a group and do everything for them. Make the though decisions instead of the adults. Being smarter than everyone in the group. Also I know this is a frequent problem with Telltale but. I am going to point it out anyway. In season 1. Most of the choices didn't really matter. But at least (for exemple Carley and Doug) you have different interaction with Carley or doug. Different Dialogue. And that is cool. Even though they both die anyway. That is cool. Season 2. When you save Nick or Pete. Pete dies anyway. And Nick survives anyway. Even if you chose to let Nick. Help Nick. Leave Pete. Help pete. Nope that doesn't change anything. They won't even act differently towards you. Or when you tell Walter Nick is a good guy. Nick lives. But you don't see him from the entire third and fourth episode. And he dies lamentably in episode 4. Without even knowing the cause of the death. Same for Alvin. They make him sit in a chair the entire episode. Cause it's less work. And let's be honest with each other. Did any of you cared that Sarita died ? Did any of you care to the characters who died except maybe Luke ? Oh yeah. Let's talk about Luke. I liked him ok. A lot. And I know a story can't be all happy and all. But. They make you care at least a little bit. About one person. And they kill him just after. I mean I know this is a shitty world. But if we were attached to the others characters it wouldn't have happened. I mean sure Luke dies that's sad. But at least you know about the other folks too so it's okay. But right now you don't care about anyone but Kenny/Jane . SO yeah an other thing about this season. You don't get attached to any of the character except Luke. (for me.) Also. There is way too much script changing. You know the church in episode 4 you were suppose to go at the end of the episode ? In episode 5 the Church isn't there anymore. now you need to go to a place who someone who tried to kill you , tell you to go. Also the baby. Am I the only one who didn't care about him.? For me this is a pipe dream to raise a baby in this world. So I didn't care about the baby. And I wasn't even sad knowing Jane had "lost" the baby. And I don't know why so many people still want to play with Clementine. I mean come on guys. Really ? I want a new story. Stop with Clementine this is just getting super unrealistic. Why does Clementine do everything ? Why does Clem have to make all the tough decisions over the adults ? Why is Clementine the one saving people ?!! So yeah. Like I said. I am sounding like a dick but I loved Telltale games games. Just I hope Season 3 will be on new character. Cause this is just getting super boring.

I liked Season 2 but They ignored some things, A few lame deaths of major characters, And Again I liked it but they could have made it better...
Season 2 could have been better if clem removed her clothes to avoid hypothermia.
Season 1 and 2 both had problems. People have a lot of nostalgia of one though so they tend to forget any problems they had.
Combine with the problems many sequels have of being bigged up so much people cant enjoy them and the fact many people played season 1 all together rather than in episode to episode, finally for many the walking dead was a new world for them with the game, now they know what to expect
Nick and Pete choice doesn't matter since Nick survives anyway? It's the same as Shawn and Duck choice, Duck survives anyway.
You don't get attached to any characters except Luke? Well i do.
When Nick can die in episode 2, he we don't see him from the entire third and fourth episode? We see him almost more than Luke in episode 3, and we know what caused his death. He got bitten by a walker with blood all over it's mouth.
And you don't know why anybody will keep playing as Clementine? Well, that's because she's a valuable little girl, we've known her from the start, and it would be fucked up if we just get to play as a new character after the ending of season 2. Clementine can do everything because she's the protagonist, it's the same as Lee, he could almost do everything too, because HE was the protagonist in season 1. She's little and the others aren't, that's why she has to do everything. And if the others had to do everything, then we just had to sit on our ass and wait for them to come back. Clementine is the only character that fits to be the protagonist in season 3, since starting as a brand new character in day 1000 or something would be bullshit.
-But yea, it's your opinion.
Season 1 has problems, but the writing is tighter and more consistent than Season 2, which is kind of a mess.
You seem to forget Alvin. And Lee did everything ok. But he was an adult. And I see you couldn't understand what I meant to say. They could have done something good with Clementine. Like she is alone and trying to survive. Sometimes she meets with survivors but it doesn't work out well. So she is alone again. Taking Clementine as the main protagonist was a really bold decision. I am sorry but even a kid who is really strong. Adults don't ask him to do everything. You didn't answer me for Alvin. You didn't answer me for the church. You didn't told me what death made you feel sad. Cause I am sorry but when you care about someone. If he dies you feel sad. And Nick replica doesn't even change the conversation. :
What? Do you expect her to be really weak?
I have to agree on you with Season 2, as a whole it's a bit of a let-down compared to Season 1.
Clementine as the protagonist wasn't a terrible choice since it worked well in Season 2, but not as well as it should have since there's too many times where the adults rely on an eleven year old girl to make the hard decisions or activities when another well-abled adult should be able to do it in her place. I understand that a game where all the adults do the work while Clementine watches would be boring, but at least it would make sense for Clementine to ask to help out every now and then for more investment and an opportunity for character development.
The reason why choices seemed to matter in Season 1 was because the characters kept acknowledging these choices you've made per episode, such as what you did to Duck and Larry, where in Season 2 it affects dialogue for a few moments and is apparently never brought up again. You can refuse a dying man water and it never comes back into the plot later, you can choose to have Kenny shoot Carver and it'll get Alvin killed, but Rebecca never holds a grudge over Kenny (and by an extent, Clementine) for this decision for more than a few moments.
And characters being killed of for drama means little for the players in Season 2 because the game never allows the player to invest more time into their characterisation, where Sarita is the worse offender in terms of character development, she's literally a plot device for Kenny and might as well have not existed.
So much could have been done with Season 2, but we end up with an inferior version of Season 1 filled with plot devices, reoccurring plot elements, cheap deaths, and overly-reliant main character that ends up breaking the immersion of the story in certain moments of the story.
Like I said. She can be strong without taking the adults for moron compared to her. And you seem to avoid everything I said. But whatever. It's your opinion.
I enjoyed Season 2, even if it was a bit cranky.
Gotta love your profile picture![:D :D](https://community.telltale.com/resources/emoji/lol.png)
Yep. And I truly hope they will drop Clementine for season 3
I literally was thinking about changing it, but I guess I won't.![:) :)](https://community.telltale.com/resources/emoji/smile.png)
I would still like others people thoughts about it.
I disliked season 2 but whatever, it's over now.
Jesus, are you fucking kidding me?
I respect your opinion, I didn't dislike season 2 though, just wouldn't match up to season 1
