I'm still going to have to go with Nate. Carver was only ever shown going after people who weren't in a position to defend themselves. Nate didn't seem to have that issue.

He doesn't have any emotional attachment to Russel. Either Russel leaves a few hours after meeting him or Nate decides to "keep him around." No emotional investment in Russel either way. Nate heavily displays characteristics of people with ASPD (Antisocial Personality Disorder) so it's highly doubtful that he cares about Russel in the slightest unless he feels that Russel betrayed him by leaving.
So the most emotion he would show is proably Some anger towards russel all i did was leave him so pretty much so nates only emotion would of been alittle bit of anger possibly

Nate is an utterly fearless badass in a sense. He's capable of laughing in the face of death, so he'd have no problem taking down an old guy. But he did screw up with Wyatt.

I think they would be pals
I doubt Nate would stand much for Carver's egomania bs.
Carver was too controlling for that. He never would have tolerated Nate and Nate would have refused to live under Carver's rule.
One day Carver accidentally eats Lye. OOPS
Carver's real strength was his charisma. Nate would kill Carver and take everything he's got.
Nate wasn't that subtle. He'd probably just shoot Carver.
so who do you think has the upperhand in a hand to hand combat fight if that ever happened between em?
that would be fucking awesome. Carver telling Nate about his place, then Nate just draws his gun and shoots him. LOL

But the real question is what would nates reaction be if he saw russel in carvers camp?

Unless he was in a position to actually kill Russel without consequence you'd never know he was angry.
