Hope for the determinant characters

So a lot of people seem worried that since Kenny and Jane are determinant, they'll just be killed off, because that's the telltale thing to do.

BUT, if you played The Wolf Among Us, you know that depending on your choices Lawrence can die in the first episode, but if he lives- he survives the entire season. The same thing with Dum depending on if he dies or not in episode three.

So what do you guys think, will they kill off Kenny/Jane, or hopefully make your choice matter and have them live?

After seeing the branching ending I'm sure they'll at least try something different. Who knows, maybe we'll actually have a branching game this time where characters that you have with you determine how the rest of the story plays out?

  • Doubt it. They have to be killed off early because their choices and thoughts won't have any output in the main plot and where it's going.

  • But Lawrence is hardly as relevant as Kenny or Jane.

    I think they´re doomed.

  • Kenny/Jane take a bigger role in their game, Lawrence had a very small role in TWAU. I think the Kenny/Jane are going to end up like Omid or have a very minimal role and they are both are going to play the same role as each other. I don't TellTale can make that branching of a story.

  • I want them to at least not die on the first episode if TT continues off with this story. Ep 2 or 3 would be good enough.

  • I think this is possible as I believe S3E1 will have to be the shortest episode yet by a wide margin to reconcile all the different endings. Or consider, as someone worrisomely pointed out to me earlier today, the very real possibility of Christa being the protag in S3. Then we might not even MEET Kenny/Jane until a later episode.

  • I don't think we'll see either of them, so that's how their determinant status can be dealt with. It feels to me like both their stories are done anyway; time for something new. Not sure about Clem though.

  • They shouldn't kill them so as to not piss people off.

For Jane, give her a situation similar to how she lost Jaime but with AJ, and have her chose self preservation and leave him while Clem rescues him instead, they separate after that and do not find eachother again.

For Kenny, let Clem be somehow abducted, or separated from Kenny and begin S3.

It's not the best idea, but it's better than killing them, and it would not be an unknown fate like Christa.

  • If they want to continue S3 with Clementine one of them must live
