If the entire Cabin Group stayed alive til EP5?

edited September 2014 in The Walking Dead

Do you think it would have been better when it comes to character interaction, relationship and story?

Try to imagine that during four episodes of Season 2, none of the Cabin characters dies. Pete survives the walker attack in episode 1. Alvin and Nick won't gain determinant status in episode 2. Carlos managed to survive the herd in episode 3 and that means Sarah won't be traumatized and survives episode 4. Due to Carlos' survival, he managed to ensure that Rebecca survives her child birth.

Then episode 4 ends with the Russian ambush (Or just simply bandits) and the gunfire.

Do you think the ending of episode 4 would have been much more intense? As during four episodes, you truly bonded with these characters as you learned to depend on everyone. And do you think that episode 5 might be more emotional as now everything can happen to these Cabin characters?

Or do you think that they should have died the way they did?

Comments

  • If they wouldn't have died then, they would've died soon after or during the events of episode 5. It would then be clear that Jane's advise would best suit Clementine's viewpoint.

  • If all the cabin members survived I think it still would have been the same eventual outcomes in Episode 5 aside from the Bandit Ambush. If all the cabin members survived that I would think their may have been at least two casualties and maybe one or two wounded.

More than likely the conclusion of the bandit raid could have been much worse if everyone from the cabin group survived. Not to mention I don't think anyone that was left would have said much or did much during the camp fire scene. It would have been just another escalating fight that would have probably had some people leaving before anyone even made that choice in the house where the supplies were at.

Overall I am fine how it all came together from episodes one through five. The world in Telltale's game isn't a happy place. Sometimes their are situations where you have no choice because things are just meant to happen that way no matter what you do about the situation it still always has the same outcome.

  • You may be right, friend. I am also fine with the overall outcome of Season 2. I am just looking at the what-ifs for the sake of imagination.

  • It's okay I understand. There are some thing's that I would imagine differently as well. So no problems.
