If Omid were alive, the writers wouldn't have skipped over 14 months, and he and Christa would be able to look after Clem for a little while longer, allowing her to retain the innocence she had in the first season. This really opens up what they could have done with the plot and would give Christa and Omid some development.
Getting rid of them was a retarded idea anyway. If you're going to get rid of the two remaining characters from the previous season and the warp the third's personality completely, you might as well create new characters.
Retain the innocence? Clementine wasn't supposed to be a little girl in Season 2. If she was, the writers would've changed Lee's death, kept him alive and made him a protagonist again.

"if you treat her like a little girl, then she'll die one." Clementine needed to lose some of her innocence, how do you imagine she retains it after witnessing her parents become walkers and determinately shooting Lee or leaving him. Lee's death changed her. You can still see that she's different when she's around Omid and Christa.
Clem can really only rely on herself to survive, she would definitely have died if she hadn't been able to even slightly toughen up in the world that she lives in.
What about Lee's death contradicts the idea that she could've remained a little girl in the next season.
To me, it seemed like an obvious step in the right direction.
Omid takes Janes role. Instead of hiding the baby, he returns with the babys face in ruins. Kenny goes psycho on Omid, regardless of player choice, they both die there, Christa returns, she sighs. Screen fades to black.
Clementine Kenny, Omid, and Christa are travelling with AJ. Christa wants the baby for herself, so she attempts to steal it from Kenny, they get into a fight and Omid pulls a knife. Christa is knocked out, and Kenny is trying to kill Omid with a knife. Clementine has to make the choice to either protect Omid from Kenny, or let Kenny kill Omid and deal with Christa later.

He would've died anyway?
I mean. "Omid the ruins".
Omid and Clem get seperated, Meet Kenny, get to Wellington, Omid talks about ruining that dudes face, all let in
This season wouldn't be shit.
Really? Because of one character?

We´d have a lot of comic relief before he´d just die off later.

Would have been nice to see Omid for 5 more minutes.

everyone lives

Then there would have been some much needed comedic relief. I sorely missed that for most of this Season.
Omid the ruin, Omid the cutest!
Kenny vs Omid final choice
Remove Jane from the story line.
Omid takes Janes role. Instead of hiding the baby, he returns with the babys face in ruins. Kenny goes psycho on Omid, regardless of player choice, they both die there, Christa returns, she sighs. Screen fades to black.
The end.
"I'd eat the shit out of that racoon" -Best line of the season
My interpretation would be:
Clementine Kenny, Omid, and Christa are travelling with AJ. Christa wants the baby for herself, so she attempts to steal it from Kenny, they get into a fight and Omid pulls a knife. Christa is knocked out, and Kenny is trying to kill Omid with a knife. Clementine has to make the choice to either protect Omid from Kenny, or let Kenny kill Omid and deal with Christa later.
The End.
Christa and Clem wouldn´t have parted ways accidentally and she´d probably never have met the Cabin group and or reunited with Kenny.
And still comic relief.
Someone needs an pic of Omid with a beard and "I got lucky, real lucky."
I wouldn't be as sad throughout the first episode.
Comic relief.
16 Months*
And they probably would have regardless.
