Am I missing something...?

Nick, Luke, Carlos, Sarah, Pete, Rebecca, and Alvin all feared the name, "Carver". It was as if his very name brought chills down their spines. He was a man of intimidation.

Surely he must have done something horrible and evil to cause these people to leave!

Wait... they didn't agree with the way he ran things, that's why they left? They didn't like him very much?! That gives me no information on Carver at all. I realize he is psychotic now, but what did he do that made them leave! UNASNWERED QUESTION!

Am I missing something?

  • Am I missing something?

    Yes.

That Carver was psychotic before the Cabin Group left.

  • They probably didn't like when he cut off that guy's ear while jamming to Stuck In The Middle With You.

We know that he raped Rebecca.

Based on his propensity to murder people in Season 2, the fact that people gave him the nickname "Carver" (his name's William), and the fact that the Cabin group were terrified of him, it's not hard to imagine that he's murdered before.

  • This is why they left:

  • We know that he raped Rebecca? How do we know that?

  • He was crazy after you got there. He was probably crazy before they left.

  • His devotion to berries was freaking them out.

  • It's supposedly inferred from the line "Don't act like you didn't love every second of it" right before Carver dies. I personally don't interpret the line that way, but a lot of people do.

  • Ahh, I guess I didn't interpret it that way either, but I can see how people would.
