Thank you, I will name this pack of cigarettes "Luke".
Cherish it always and never forget the character.
I will, thank you. I´ll smoke one everytime someone makes an ice pun. ;_;
Good thing I bought the infinite pack or else you'd be out of them by the end of the week!
People are that cruel!
Yes they are sadly
Gotta be strong.
Yup Raises glass To the people we've lost in this game may they all return real lucky!
When I get really sad I just imagine an AU where everyone is alive and every year they host Clem's birthday party.
This is a good idea, maybe that's what they're doing they're planning a surprise birthday party for Clem!
Except Arvo, he's not invited.
No the plan is they bring him in knock him out and torture him that's Clems big gift!
Sam can be Clem's nice dog and Arvo's job is to clean his uh...presents.
Is it wrong that Sarah is the only character I didn't want to die?
Because I was kind off OK with everyone else dying but her, that's not to say I wanted them to die but Sarah was the only one that I was like "Bullshit" I would have left Jane, Luke, Mike, Bonnie and Kenny if it meant I could save Sarah, I wanted and option to jump down myself to try to save her, even if I died there and had to do the scene again it just would have made me feel better, I really thought she could make it and I was like "Jane you're so wrong about Sarah she's only that way because nobody's taught her how to survive yet" but I couldn't, it wasn't really fair.
Well also I don't think Omid should have died either, I would have loved it if instead of what happened that Omid and Christa had the baby but then they get attacked and have to decide between taking the baby with them or Clementine because of you know a contrivance like all the choices in TWD, then you are alone again and you're fucking heartbroken because Omid and Christa left you to die, that would have been great instead of killing him and I don't think everyone would hate them for choosing their own kid over Clementine, I really think that would have been a perfect even more bittersweet intro to Season 2 and the possibility of seeing Omid again would be a nice motivation because he was great.
that works as well XD
High five!
Gives the Sheriff an epic High Five
He will be deeply missed Rock114
This gif is me whenever I hear Pete say "We're burnin' daylight."
I miss him so much
Chuck and Carver.
That's me on every single thread.
Finally not the only one that wishes Carver wasn't dead XD
I actually felt the same way. Partially because most of the S2 cast was so unappealing, but even if I did like the new cast Sarah would have stuck out as my favorite. I think the actor who voiced her did a really amazing job. Her performance just perfectly captures this image of a kind and innocent soul suffering in an incredibly cruel and arbitrary world. The whole deck scene actually helped me to understand why Kenny chose to stay behind with Ben in S1. For me, in that moment, dying trying to stop something so horrible actually felt preferable to staying alive and watching it happen.
I really hate there's almost no acknowledgement of Sarah after she dies, especially in the conversation when Jane is leaving. All this crap about dragging Jamie through the apocalypse for months being used to write off Sarah less than a day after her father was killed. Jane is clearly more afraid of being hurt by losing someone close than she is of people "dragging her down" and you never really get to call her out on her bullshit. There's actually a nice moment on top of the trailer where, if you didn't give Sarah her glasses before, she puts them on and she actually smiles a little at Clem.
Your suggestion about Omid and Christa is interesting. Anything is better than what we got really. I actually think in some earlier draft they were just suppose to be part of the story. Rebecca and Alvin seem likely very blatant replacements. Hard ass pregnant lady and her more affable husband. That and the opening scene about them talking about what to name that baby seems to be setting up for something. If Christa survived and it was her baby it'd probably be named Omid Jr. Which would give us Clementine and OJ. What a pair. =P
The whole point of killing off Omid in the beginning is to symbolically kill off Christa & Clem's chance at hope. I can get behind that idea. I can even get behind Sarah dying horribly despite your best efforts to save her.
What's not cool is having the developers laugh about how annoying she is and take glee in killing her off andr forcing you to hurt her to save her. What ain't cool is the ridiculously illogical, cartoonish circumstances behind her death. What ain't cool is having nobody even talk about her after she's dead - for fuck's sake, there's more time spent grieving over Duck, a character who's never even seen in this season, than her. What ain't cool is that Kenny gets the most dignified, respectful send-off of any character barring Lee, regardless of how realistic or consistent his send-offs are with his personality - my anger at this is because the bias towards redeeming Kenny reveals that the writers aren't actually concerned about 'realism' or are brave enough to consider the "dark" possibility that their pet character might not deserve redemption.
On another note, it's funny how people here mock "Tumblrinas" and then start posting gifs and frothing at the mouth about 'feels'.
What's symbolic about it? Omid is Persian for hope. =P
And yeah, I got that, but it didn't work for me because it was so blunt and clumsy. There's zero build up for it and then we skip over the actual aftermath to sixteen months so they can get rid of Christa in an equally clumsy fashion. They're only used to try and smooth over the damn time skip than discarded and completely forgotten after that. They have so little impact on the story you might as well just started with eleven year old Clem alone in the woods.
Yeah, I was misled into thinking that Christa being separated in ambiguous circumstances would have built up anticipation for her returning later in the season. Little did we know that this was actually a hack's way of killing off an 'unimportant character' off-screen so that they can revive a dead character and force us to get involved in the drama of a new cast.
Actually, why did we have Rebecca when we could have used Christa's pregnancy as the 'baby plot' of Season 2?
