I've never been fond of her character, some of the issues I have with her are personally fueled I must admit. The fact that she wouldn't look for Sophia, her own daughter for one. She didn't even hold out hope for Sophia while everyone else was looking for her, she didn't do anything, that just rubbed me the wrong way. And prior to that..what kind of mother allows her child to be hurt and abused by their father, much less sit back and do nothing? It out-right disgusted me. And after everything Rick did for her and the group at the end of season 2, she had the audacity to undermine him and try to turn Daryl against him. I didn't like her at all then, but I tried to give her the benefit of the doubt in the next season.
I found it unrealistic that she's all of a sudden this bamf in season 3, and my dislike for her was solidified in season 4. She murdered two sick people from her own group off of the very slim possibility it would stop the sickness from spreading, I understand that her intentions were good, but it doesn't change what she did. She stood by with an innocent facade while Tyreese was losing his mind over what she did. She was visibly upset after talking to Tyreese (knocking over water barrels that everyone needs, smart move), but after she defied Rick's instructions once again, we find out that she didn't regret what she did one bit, that she'd do it again. I believe Rick was right in making her leave, she was reckless, and doesn't consult anyone about her decisions that affect everyone, she just automatically thinks she's right.
I understand her actions in "The Grove", but I think it would have been better for her to stay at the cottage with Lizzie, and for Tyreese to leave with Judith. From my pov, she has clearly lost what little bit of humanity she had left after what she was forced to do to Lizzie after the death of Mika. Again, I found it unrealistic that Carol pretty much took down Terminus by herself, I saw it as the writers trying to maker her more likable/redeemable after what she'd done in the previous seasons . What stuck out the most for me was when she said something along the lines of "I'm not here anymore, and neither are you". I don't trust Carol, I appreciate what she did to save the group at Terminus, but that doesn't make me like her in the least.

100% Carol.
Didn't like Jane's motives, especially in ep 5.
