There is another bit of information that was revealed during episode 4: Clementine doesn't know the actual birth process. Clementine can de… moreterminately ask if Rebecca's water breaking is supposed to happen. I also think there was a bit of optional dialog at one point where it is implied by Clem's speech that she doesn't know how to birth a baby. My theory is that Christa went into labor and birthed the baby somehow with little to no assistance from Clementine. The baby was alive for a good amount of time. This would explain why Clem looked so "natural" or "experienced" when hold and caring for AJ. I wouldn't be surprised if Clem's line to Jane about how holding a baby isn't rocket science is the same exact words Christa told Clem when Christa's baby was alive. Considering that the time skip was 16 months or 1.25 years, it can also be assumed that Christa's baby died in during the winter. We can hypothesize that the scene of Clem gettin… [view original content]
You know, I never saw it from this perspective. I guess this is part of the whole #MyClementine thing with episode 5. What Clementine meant by her line all depends on your perspective, thus making this one line have multiple meanings and forms of impact.
Meaning that at first, she thought AJ was stillborn like Christa's baby.("not again, not again.") But then AJ starts breathing and crying, so she and everyone else is relieved.

I tyhink she's talking about Kenny losing someone he really cares about again, Katjaa,Duck,Sarita and then AJ, Clementine thought that Kenny was gonna go agro at Jane because she killed AJ which he did but AJ wasn't dead..
It depends where they were at the time Christa's baby passed. Considering the geography I doubt Georgia has winters similar to the one in No Going Back.
The baby is alive and safe in Wellington. They traded the baby for supplies and someone they trusted took it to Wellington, or maybe they ate it for dinner lol
But she could've carried a dead baby all along. She didn't go to a check up or anything so for all we know she could've gave birth to a dead baby, which is really sad :,(
Everyone is infected with the virus, remember? That means the baby was infected. If she was carrying a dead baby all along, it wouldn't have continued to grow to that size. I'm not an expert on this so I may be wrong, but I think if the baby dies within the first month or so it just gets broken down or something... Again, correct me if I'm wrong because I'm not an expert with this stuff.
And either way, if it died within the final months of the pregnancy it would have most likely eaten Christa from the inside out. Remember, everything is infected.

she said this because of kenny.. i guess, she knew he was going to break down again
This. She knew Kenny couldn't handle losing someone again and there would be "no going back". AJ was the only thing keeping him sane.
You know, I think you hit the nail on the head.
I'm guessing Christa's baby was stillborn, given that at first it seems like AJ wasn't breathing.
But Clem says "No...Not again...Not again" in episode 5, not episode 4 when AJ's born

A lot of people complain that they never explained what happened to Christa's baby. I always assumed she miscarried.
But when it seems like AJ isn't breathing, Clem says "Oh God" or "Oh no!" (can't remember which).
Yeah, I caught that too. Read her reaction exactly the same way you did. First thoughts were (Oh yeah! Christa's baby.... sadface)
haha, thanks! Glad to have not been the only one.
And by me thinking it was the latter I meant when I FIRST thought she meant Kenny.
There was a theory about it but I just don't know which one it is. :P (Most likely Christa's baby though)

I honestly had no idea what Clem was referring to in that scene..

She probably had a miscarriage. That's my theory

Your input about it wasn't needed.
