MaconMajr Season 2 choices plus reasons
Well, I'm in the first quarter of Episode 3: In Harm's Way.
When I posted my choices on here I didn't put the ones I did for Around Every Corner, No Time Left or 400 Days.
I'll just keep one's I didn't second guess myself. In Episode 4 Around Every Corner, with the child walker in the attic, I gave Kenny the option. Don't get me wrong, I would have done it myself, but the funk that Kenny was in, I thought him going the task would help. I just wanted Kenny to know I'm still a friend.
Also, by this time, when Clementine snuck through the locked doggie door and opened the main door to the mansion inside, I praised her for taking the initiative. It was time to stop treating Clem like a child (my choice, probably what Chuck said on the train was also has some merit). Also, I chose to bring her to Crawford, because of my reason above.
So the rest is history I don't want to drag on so I'll cut to Season 2. (Even though I spoiled myself on the first three, it was fun playing through on my own accord)
EPISODE 6: ALL THAT REMAINS
Did I save Christa? Hell, yeah! I owed her my Lee's blessing to be Clementine's new guardian along with Omid (what happened to Omid when I saw a walkthrough on youtube blew me out of left field. I was sad, but this is the Walking Dead world, sometimes people come and go like that). Plus, I hoped she's alright. I heard a gunshot and fear the worst.
Did I kill Sam the dog? I had to, I couldn't leave him like that suffering. Killing him was the humane thing to do even though he tried to hurt Clem.
Nick's apology? I agree Nick started off as a jerk, but once he opening apologized to Clem, I began to see him in a different light. The old saying is true: "It takes a big man to admit when he's wrong". Nick, is a big man. Plus, the Cabin Group seem like a good bunch, once you get to know them.
Give water to the dying man? Knowing this person is probably responsible for Christa's determinant fate, I couldn't. Even if she's dead or not, he still had a hand in it. Plus, I can be kind...just not on the time. Pitfalls and all that.
Nick or Pete? Pete, hands down. Some of think this crazy because he's bit, but I owe him Clem's life. Loyalty is a value I honor among those i've befriended.
EPISODE 7: A HOUSE DIVIDED
Take blame for Sarah's photo? I did...not. Cause I couldn't always be taking blame for every little thing I've done. Sarah is a good kid, but just a little...fragile. Even though I consider her more tolerable than Ben. (No offense Ben fans)
Who did I sit with at dinner? Kenny, of course. Being old friends and all. Kenny revealed to still be alive was a decent surprise.
Did I tell Walter the truth about Matthew? I had to. For good or for ill, honesty is the better policy.
Convince Walter to forgive Nick? But of course. Nick is for me what Ben was for his fans. I feel Nick is a decent character with flaws (who isn't in reality or fiction?) and deserves a chance to develop.
Try to find Kenny? This one was a toughie, while playing I left to find him but I stopped and pictured the scenario differently in my mind. So I replayed to the part where instead I chose surrender. Why? Cause a dangerous man with four AK-47 wielding helpers, plus Kenny being Kenny is a recipe for disaster. I would have left to find him, but considering the situation, I chose an alternative. Plus when Carver was going to kill Alvin, I dashed out to save him, but Carver hit Clem in the stomach. Futile, but was still pretty heroic.
That's about it. Oh, also with the two walkers before going on to the bridge, I had Clem take out the big one (struck the leg and hammer to the head) That's how I roll.
More to come.
Comments
It would seem that the majority of your choices are identical to mine, except for the "Try to find Kenny" one that is, I guess that in this particular situation it just seemed like a better idea to try and do something instead of just surrendering to Carver, but then again in my case the result ended up being pretty much the same, Alvin still survived and the only difference was that Clementine didn't get hurt.
Well I am looking forward to reading what you have to say about the rest of Season 2, just make sure to think your choices through, it might be pretty hard for you to decide once you reach a certain point in the game.
Also since I missed your previous thread, welcome back, even though I don't actually know you.
