He just sort of vanished. He was built up but then just poofed away. What do you think happened to him?

The same thing that happened to Eddie. He was part of the 400 days DLC. Those who were apart of it were doomed to never show up past a mere 3 seconds cameo in Season 2.
He killed those folks and took all their stuff.
He became the most awesome character ever.

He is a ZA wise man. He travels the roads dispensing his wisdom to any who listen.
As long as he's not dead.
I hope we see him in season 3, he may be a crazy ass mofo, but he's oddly interesting in a way

He really wasn't built up at all, any more than Roman was "built up", being a major force in one story and playing a mysterious role in another. Nate was just one of several connections between the differing narratives of 400 Days. He just got a huge fanbase for whatever reason, but he was never meant to last any longer than that. Keep in mind that this was all back when we thought 400 Days was actually going to matter to season 2. Oh, the naive days...
As for where is now? Dead in a ditch, I can hope.
