Well, TWD is a game about choices and the roads are the different choices you can make, when it says "weep not for roads untraveled", basicaly is saying, don't think "what if i had done this?" cause those choices are done and now you have to keep driving and try to get the right road next time.
Because of this video I automatically associate A Thousand Years with TWDG every time I hear it. It was playing on the X-Factor and I immediately received a nice big lump in my throat. ._.
It's mostly the refrain. "Where did I go wrong? I lost a friend, somewhere along in the bitterness" reminds me of the conflicts that drove the groups apart and ultimately causes Lee and Clem to lose people they used to call their friends. "And I would save stayed up with you all night, had I known how to save a life" makes me think of the guilt and grief that people go through, constantly asking themselves if they could have done more to save the people they cared about.

This song makes me think about Sarah.
(Yeah, sadly this is made by Taylor Swift, but the lyrics kind of match Clem's friendship with Sarah)

Just goes to show wow good the experience in this game really is. I played season one picking what I think I would do in that situation, then I played season two picking what I think would benefit Clem the most. Never have I been so worried about a video game character before.
Why you may ask?

Wow, this is a great song regardless of context.

The part of the song where the voice mail plays gave me chills!
