So was the gas station in the dlc and season 2 in georgia or virginia?

So has it ever been confirmed where exactly the gas station was in the dlc and the very beginning of season 2 (I think that was the same gas station from the dlc but I could be wrong)?

I assume it wasn't meant to be in Georgia since all the characters that were at the gas station ended up in Virginia during the second game.

    I think it's unknown, however I think it was in Georgia. Just a hunch.

    I think it was in Georgia. Considering that Russell is walking on the road where Carley was shot, and that's in Georgia, I don't think Nate would take a 8/9 drive to get to Virginia if they were it where there.

    I believe Georgia's the most logical answer as Kenny makes a cameo at the gas station (this is where Duck was grabbed), we find Doug/Carley's corpse and the remaining cancer patients end up there. Also Vince is on his way to jail for a crime he committed in Macon, which is in Georgia.

    If you can make it out it say's Carolina on Russell's map but I don't know why prisoners from Georgia would be in one of the Carolina's and we don't know how far he and Nate drove.

    Didn't Tavia say they had a camp up north? Wait a second, Carley's/Doug's body was found in Russell's story so it has to be in Georgia.

    First of all, apologies to whoever made this, I don't know who they are, but they did a great job.

    Here is a map of TWD universe locations. According to it, Gil's Pitstop is in Georgia.
