  • Is this like, "Who would win in a fight," or, "Who is the better character?" Either way, for me it's Lee, obviously because we played as him and we feel more attached to him, but also because he spent his last day on Earth rescuing Clementine. I love Rick, but Lee is the better character.

  • Well. I'd say they're both great protagonists. But which Rick are we talking about? Also this would be difficult considering there are many different interpretations of Lee due to players personal choices with him.

  • Again, Lee.

    Better character

  • Still Lee.

  • Lee is a nicer person, but Rick has lost his mind. Hopefully Lee, i would shoot Rick like a dog especially S5 Rick to protect Lee. He is just so far gone, he can't come back. Anyone else find the irony in this, Lee a convicted killer has more morals/compassion than a cop before the Apocalypse.

I don't get how people say this. Sure, Rick isn't the most moral character, but he does what he did to protect Carl, his own kid, and the others. He doesn't kill for fun like the Governor or Gareth, he does it because he has to do it. Rick has not lost his mind, he's just doing what it takes to survive in that world.

  • I love Lee but I have to go with Rick. He has had more character development than Lee did so I am much more attached to him and I find him a lot cooler. Lee is still awesome though, don't get me wrong.

  • Rick. Because he's still alive.

  • Rick isn't the most moral character

He is a emotionless killer, that doesn't care about whose life he takes. If Shane gets treated like this, and dealt with, now its ricks turn to die.

Shane didn't do half the shit Rick has done.

He doesn't care about whose life he takes? If he was an "emotionless killer", he would have shot Father Gabriel on sight or have shot Abraham when he wanted to take the bus away. If you're talking about his other kills, I must have forgotten sparing rapists and cannibals is the moral thing to do.

Shane didn't do half the shit Rick has done.

Shane never had to face someone trying to rape his son, or for that matter, freaking cannibals. Shane would do the same "shit" as Rick if he had faced what Rick has.

  • He is a emotionless killer

He was pretty much balling his eyes out while killing Shane. He's not emotionless, he's shellshocked. All he cares about is Carl and Judith, since Laurie died. If they weren't alive neither would he be.

  • Don't get mad because i don't agree with you. I 'd still end Rick right between the eyes and i wouldn't look back.

  • I'm not "mad" as much as stating my opinion, there's a difference.

I 'd still end Rick right between the eyes and i wouldn't look back.

Then who's the emotionless killer now?

  • Rick would win in a fight because......
    .
    .
    .
    .
. because Rick is still alive XD

  • I think Rick is a lot more bad ass but I'd want to be with Lee anyday if i was gonna be in this situation. He is so nice and he is really trustworthy. I never cared much for Rick but Lee... He is the man :(

  • But Rick isn't an emotionless killer, so you're the villain here.

  • I like Lee more, Andrew Lincoln's portrayal of Rick feels weak to me.

  • How do I know that.

  • Well if i'm not real i'm just a figment of your imagination. I spend all my time trying to put suggestions in your mind...

  • Lee is better mentally,Rick is better physically.

  • tv show or comic?

  • I thought you were cool, Cake. :( Andrew Lincoln is a great portrayer of Rick, imo. :(

  • you have to remember lee died before he got to the point rick did. we have no idea if lee would have became like rick had he lived.

another thing i kinda like is how the two contrast eachother.

rick was a police officer. lee a criminal.

rick tried protecting those he cared about but in the end became a psychopath in the process. lee tried to protect who he cared about but in the end died but was sort of redeemed.

  • Fact: Lee was such a strong sexy slice of urban beef.

    Lee wins evritim!

  • Rick is a better character without a doubt. People that say Lee are just ignorant fools that probably haven't seen the show

  • Well, he is from London.

And he's real last name is Clutterback, how funny is that to say? Clutterback. Hehe

  • I love Lee, but comic Rick is so badass and cool... I just... I don't know...

"rick tried protecting those he cared about but in the end became a psychopath in the process. lee tried to protect who he cared about but in the end died but was sort of redeemed."

How is Rick a psychopath? Rick still has his humanity and sanity in both the tv show and the comics. He had a breakdown after losing his wife but he came back from that. Michonne, Morgan, Shane, Carol also had break downs or mental health problems in the comics. Rick was no more of a psycho than any of them. Rick just does what has to be done for his survival and for the safety of his group. 4 years in the apocalypse and he is running his own community and restoring civilisation.

"Or maybe we just, oh I don't know, have a different opinion?"

An opinion that is based on emotion. A bias if you will. I love Lee but the dude lasted 13 weeks tops in the apocalypse and spent 12 of those weeks in the safety of the motor inn. He died about 2 days after leaving the motor inn. I love Lee but he's not cut out for the ZA. Carol said it best in the show when she said her daughter didn't have a mean bone in her body and that is why she is no longer here. 4 years in the ZA and Rick is alive and kicking, running a larger community than Woodury. The proof is in the pudding. People forget that Lee wasn't even the group's leader. He was a side man. Lee shouldn't even be compared to Rick. He should be compared to someone like Tyreese or Daryl since Lee's group was led by Kenny or Lilly. When it comes to survival I know who I would rather have in my group. My choices are based on logic not sentimentality. I'd choose Rick all day long. my chances of survival would be better.

  • "tv show or comic?"

Does it matter? Both versions of Rick still draw breath and would give us better chances of survival if they backing our corner in an apocalypse.

To be fair, Lee got fucked over by complete circumstance

He got attacked by a lurker and got the short end of the stick unfortunately

Rick's survived similar situations by pure luck (aka a zombie biting him back in Issue 4 but not being able to puncture his jacket)
