My argument was more on the premise Christa should have had more of an impact on her than Lee. He did teach her the basics, and she has kept hold of those teachings, but she spent 16 months alone with one woman. If not for the writers complete disregard for the clementine of season one there wouldn't have been that skip. Not only did it skip a very, very important section of her life and story, it also left it completely up for interpretation for the purpose of creating a blank canvas for the players to control. A fucking horrific action in my opinion. She revenues Lee more than Christa so it's safe to say she has more of a connection with Lee, but in reality this would be far from the truth. It was almost two years since Lee died and no more than what, a few weeks since Christa went missing? Even if she did, for some weird reason, have a deeper connection with Lee than Christa she still would have mentioned Christa more than Lee just because she had gone through the events of an entire two years with her more recently than the few months two years prior with Lee. But we are never indulged with allusions to the two years, we are never given references of any sort to anything that transpired in those two years besides the baby dying and Omid dying. It's as if they literally sat around and fire for the entire time, had the baby and it mysteriously died, and then threw another log on the fire. What the actual fuck??
I agree, sorta. Sixteen months is a long, long time, roughly four times the length of season one and two's timeline combined, and in the pos… moret-apocalyptic hellscape the game takes place, it almost feels like time is worth double. The bond Christa and Clem surely forged should be tough as nails and everlasting because I highly doubt there are many groups of people out there who don't belong to a community that could claim to have had as a long-lasting relationship as those two. Unfortunately, we're not privy to anything that transpired during their travels together and subsequently their relationship, to our eyes, feels like it may as well just have been 16 minutes.
Lee still had the biggest impact on her, in my opinion. He taught her how to shoot a gun, he's the reason she keeps her short, his morals still resonate strongly with her and he's the one who rescued her from the treehouse and sent on the path she's on.
It would still be nice to know what exactly what impact Christa did or didn't have on her.
As much as I love me some good old Kenny, and as strong and resourceful as Christa was, Lee is definitely the one who made the biggest impac… moret on Clem. Christa seemed cold and distant, because of Omid. Kenny is basically loosing it, and can barely take care of himself, but Lee was the best. He worked with Clem like they were a team, but still treated her and loved her like a child. She need that still.
Lee for sure. I miss dat Everett... :<
I think one thing that makes Lee so special for Clementine is, she witnessed the true death. When it comes to her parents, she only saw them as walkers. Of course that doesn't make anything easier but she didn't see HOW they turned into walkers. She didn't see how much they suffered physically and emotionally. But for Lee... she saw every single one of them. She saw him die slowly and painfully (if you cut your arm and got shot in the torso by The Stranger) Sure, she saw Larry, his head getting bashed by Kenny, Cannibals and The Stranger getting killed by Lee (Determinant) Carley/Doug getting shot by Lilly, but in the end she never thought of losing Lee. For Lee, Clementine was like a daughter he never had while for Clementine, Lee was like a hero that will protect her no matter what.
I asked the same question to Gavin Hammon on ask.fm about Lee and Christa and he said;
That quote might have some ground to stand on if we knew anything about what happened. 16 months together something must have happened. Many somethings must have happened. But why does that matter when they needed to make her a blank slate to serve as the playable character in the second season?

"Quality > Quantity in my opinion"
You can't be serious. No way she spent more time around Ben, Lily, and Katjaa than Kenny. They didn't even meet Ben until 3 months after episode 1, so she probably spent a lot of time around him during that time. And after they meet, I don't remember them being around each other much. Lily left the group before Kenny was separated from them and Katjaa died the next day or same day depending on your choices. And of course she would spend time with Duck because he was the only other kid.
She knew him for a few months. They were separated for those two years as Clem spent that time with Christa and Omid. While they were togrther, she spent most of her time around Lee, Duck, Ben, Lilly, Katjaa. Not really Kenny.
They didn't even meet Ben until 3 months after episode 1
I've spend more time with my best friend, whom I've known for 10 years vs. my uncle who I've known for 20. Just because they are around then doesn't mean then spend time together, and it certainly doesn't mean they connect in that time.
And after they meet, I don't remember them being around each other much.
It's heavily implied so. Even going so far as for Clementine to call him her friend. It's also a parallel to symbolize Ben still being a child, or at least naive.
Lily left the group before Kenny was separated
Presence doesn't mean connection. Lily wasn't around longer than Kenny but she still has more connection with her, as seen when Clementine talks about Lily giving her the hair things
and Katjaa died the next day or same day depending on your choices.
There's that physically presence and mental/emotional connection conundrum again.

I think he'd tell me to try to keep the group together. And...to keep my hair short

That man had a fire in him sure as shit
Is it Lee?
This makes me laugh because Viva-La-Lee said her parents nothing than one post above this.
STOP MAKING ME FEEL
Well Arvo shot her. The impacted from the bullet nearly killed her.
I was gonna mention the riflebut but that's determinant.
Kekeke
That's not part of the dialogue
Lee, obviously.
He was a hell of a guy.

You
When you played as Lee and when you played as her
I like the way you think.

Maybelle

Lol that's what I was thinking.
