Really? What I said makes sense; in the story of ASOIAF, while the characters do interact at times, most of the time a lot of characters' subplots send them on completely unrelated paths. I don't get how you can't see/understand that TTG getting involved in such a franchise could offer ideas on how to write a story with different branching paths. I'm not saying they're the same things; it'll be different as with S3 the paths aren't each a part of a larger story, but are isolated.
Like I said, we don't know what they're thinking of doing, and. while I'm hopeful, I'm not gonna be surprised if they end up cutting corners (as most devs do nowadays, and doing branch paths would be a lot of work; that's why I'm saying an extra episode makes the cutting of corners less staggering). I'm sorry you're too narrow-minded to see either happening being a possibility.
Yeah, I see your point; living among a society could be pretty interesting. Hell, in TWAU, the story takes place within one community, so of course it can be done. Maybe there's some civil unrest type subplots, or a coup, or a murder within the walls, etc. Maybe just an ep where we can just chill and have fun doing different activities, and/or bonding with other characters.
Tho, I don't think this could be made interesting enough, unless we had control over the leader of the community, or at least someone close in the chain of command. So I guess either another playable protagonist, besides Clem (that we could switch to, and from, whenever), or a much older (18-21) Clem who's now the leader of a community similar to Alexandria?
Still, I think that this would bore some people, so TTG would likely have the community collapse in the finale.
I sure hope it's good, because all the safe places that go to hell are, quite frankly, getting boring. Let's settle down in a stable communi… morety and explore some interesting plot points. I'm all for wellington being a game equivalent of Alexandria, and for it to actually play a major role in season 3. You've already established this place and mentioned it multiple times, it's still functioning, they got giant-ass walls... why sacrifice a location you could actually expand upon instead of tossing it out to the side?
We never got to see a functioning community yet... or at least one that lasts more than a single episode. We've seen Carver's camp, which barely even feels alive, partly due to us seeing it from the perspective of a prisoner. We had Crawford get all hyped up, only to discover that it has already fallen.
Also, it makes for managing characters much better. Character getting in the way of conflict between other characters? Have th… [view original content]
I'd like the idea of playing as someone vital to the community. Maybe not the leader, but a second-in-command or someone like that. What I would really like to see, is the ultimate fate of the community being determinant. Depending on how you play, you either help doom the community to destruction, or help lead it into prosperity.
