Why didn't this happen at the end of Season 2?
At the end of Season 1, there was a song played at the end of the game, which was befitting for the tone the ending set.
But at the end of of Season 2, there was more of a generic tune on a guitar was played.
And in Season 1, at the end of each episode, a generic tune was played.
But in Season 2, there was a song that was played, at least during the first two episodes.
Why the change?

I think it's because of the multiple endings. The song that played at the end of No Time Left was entitled Take us Back:

Everyone got the same ending no matter what, Lee dies and it ends with one of the most emotional endings in video games, why not end it with an emotional song that fits the outcome.
The problem with Season 2 was that there were multiple endings, some happy, some depressing, some badass. They can't put in a song that fits one ending but leaves the other 4 unaccounted for. Here is the music at the end of Season 2, it's a mixture of Alive Inside and Back to Reality:

While it may be a traditional song, it fits because there are so many different paths that one song would not work for all the endings, so they made this one.
They should have had psychedelic techno for the credits.
Did someone just called "Alive Inside" a generuc tune?!
