Mac support
Why do you only tell us on release day that the game is delayed on mac? You did the same for TftBL, plus you don't give us any more info about a potential release day. You guys knew it wasn't gonna be released on mac on release day (which you announced would be on 2/12 for PC AND Mac) so why did you advertise as such?

Agreed. I don't have an issue with it taking longer but the lack of communication is disappointing. I would have also like to know before paying for the game that I thought I could play today that it was delayed. Not appropriate to point it out only after purchase.
Adding my agreement here so this issue might gain some traction. I searched back through Twitter to make sure I wasn't going crazy.
November 27, a tweet noting PC and Mac would be released the same day:
Then only when I go to purchase the game do I see that the Mac version is delayed, and there is no potential release date. Very disappointed, as I prefer to play these games on my Macbook Pro.
Dear Telltale Game, I pre-ordered this game for Mac instead of another platform because of your marketing that specifically promised it would be available on Mac on December 2. Please tell me how do I get a refund so that I can purchase it on a different platform instead.
I've emailed TellTale. Nothing.
Slightly off topic, but have you guys been able to download Tales from the Borderlands? It was over a week delayed for Mac and it seems like those who bought it on steam finally have it but the Telltale website still doesn't seem to have a Mac version available for download.
Is the Mac Version available on steam? Because I'd rather just get a refund and buy it elsewhere.
wow every mac user is complaining and no f*(the)king statement from telltale ... will the first telltale i bought be the last one too?
this is a joke! how can they promote a game when its not possible to play? i have had i for two days now, and still no word!!! can someone please tell me SOMETHING! a little "we are working on it" would be great!
The Mac version of Game of Thrones is now available through Steam. Please restart your Steam Client fully, and open your Steam Library, and you will be able to download and install the game on Mac. We will have more information about the Telltale Games Mac version release soon.
So can I get a refund on my Telltale purchase and get it on Steam?
ähm yea but i bought it on Telltale not on steam. What to do now?
even if i link my telltale acc to steam it doesn't work ...
Thanks! I'm so happy it's up, but I am having trouble opening it on Snow Leopard through Steam. I keep getting an error message How can I get it fixed?
Can you please clarify what the error message says specifically? Also, is it a Steam error message, or a Mac error message?
I sent an email to support@telltalegames.com Ticket # 35493. It's a Mac error message.

Similar, here:
GoT in Steam crashes instantly (Mac OSX 6.8)
I'll post the full error log below, but I reckon this is the problem bit:

Can you refund my telltale purchase so I can buy it on steam?
Yeah that's the same one I'm still getting except with a different Game App, although I doubt that matters.
My apologies, below are a few possible solutions:
1) Restart your computer
2) Play the game with your computer disconnected from the internet
3) If your Mac has multiple graphics cards, go to your system preference and click on ‘energy saver’. Uncheck ‘Automatic
Graphics Switching’ and this will make sure your Mac is using your more powerful graphics card.
4) Verify your cache if you purchased through Steam (https://support.steampowered.com/kb_article.php?ref=2037-QEUH-3335)
5) Try playing the game with no other programs running in the background
6) Reinstall the game
If this does not resolve the issue, please read this Sticky on how to run our Support Tool, and follow the steps to run the tool, and reply here with the download link copied and pasted into a reply. You can find the Sticky here:

After receiving the information from your support tool, I will be able to assist you further.
So I'm not sure if it worked for you thompst but I still couldn't get it to work.
1 + 2.) I just restarted and redownloaded GOT as the only app and with no internet and nothing.
3.) Didn't see the Uncheck Graphics Switching but pretty sure I only have one graphic card
4.) Just verified cache through local files and still no dice
5.) See 1.)
6.) See 1.)
Also tried it on my home iMac that has the same operating system 10.6.8 and nothing
Ditto to BrandoLion, and, ditto. Tried all the suggestions: still no dice.
PS: The support tool sticky seems to be Windows only.
Apologies for my confusion, we have not yet set up our Mac Support System in our Support Tool. I recommend contacting/emailing our Support Staff at Support@Telltalegames.com, and make sure to include the System Information of your computer, in the email. (To do this, select the Apple logo on the top toolbar of you desktop, then select 'About this Mac', and then 'More info...'. Now Select 'File' on the top toolbar of your desktop, then find 'Save As'. Choose a filename to easily find the document after saving, and most importantly change the file format to an easy to read document type (RTF is recommended). After you save the file, find and open it. Now press Cmd+A to select all text, and Cmd+C to copy and Cmd+V to paste the contents of this file into an email)
Did that just got four ticket entries, can you let Dev know about them?
Ticket #s: 35537, 35539,35540,35541
thompst if I hear anything I'll post on here, could you do the same?
Roger, BrandoLion!
i bought the game via telltales and cannot play it .
it's available on steam and illegal download sites ...
shame on me for being honest and paying my games i guess.
nice work you amateurs.
I'm sorry but this is actually quite ridiculous. It's been 5 days since the release of this game and the game has been on Steam for 3. No news or updates from the Telltale staff as to why the Mac version cannot be downloaded from their website and no response as to getting a refund so we can buy the game on Steam. I really enjoy Telltale games, and that's why I bought the game off of this website to show my direct support for them, but to have it released elsewhere and not on the official website, with no update or timeframe as to when it this issue will be addressed is really off-putting and unprofessional. I, and I'm sure other Mac users as well, would really appreciate an official update on this issue and the option for a refund.
@BrandoLion Please note that the ticket numbers are for our database reference, and are an automated response from our Support Staff email server letting you know we have received your email. Please allow time for our Support Staff to receive, and respond to your email. There may be an extra delay in response due to the recent launch of our new games Tales From The Borderlands, and Game of Thrones.
We have updated our Game of Thrones Support Tool page so that the Support Tool file includes the necessary Mac components. Please download our Support Tool, and follow the steps to run the tool, and reply here with the download link copied and pasted into a reply. You can find the link to the Sticky here (There should now be a Mac version link):

i can't log in to the game, i always get the can't log in thing with sign out or exit
can anyone help please?
So, still no news on when you´re going to fix this for Mac 10.6.8?
I feel the same. I didn´t buy the game to to play it weeks later or to buy it at other platforms again. Although i got no help/hint or even the a little bit of interest from the telltale admins on that. It´s not fun anymore. And we neither get the chance for a refund or a compensation -.-
same here i'm on 10.6.8 macbook pro 7.1 nvidia 320m 2011, i can play The walking Dead season 1 and 2 , the wolf amoung us too and now i buy Game of thrones and impossible to open the file !!

I'm sad… and now NO NEWS from telltale….
I had started on a thread on this and am waiting on a reply. It seems a couple of people are having this problem. I can't log in to play TFTB either.

Seriously. It's one thing to release it late, it's another to not offer refunds or put out any statements, updates, or apologies, especially when they're responding to other comments and messages like the ones in this thread. Really, just a "sorry guys, we're working on it" would be better than nothing! Never buying another Telltale game again; you can gain customers through good games but try not to lose them through bad customer service!
Telltale Mike, please man, are you guys gonna do a free update or something cause i can't open the game… like i said below, the walking dead 1 and 2 and the wolf amoung us work fine ! i'v been looking on internet, /usr/lib/libc++.1.dylib is from Lion and higher version of mac OS, and telltale said Snow leopard MINIMUM !
Done. TelltaleMike, please find the file at:

(For others: the Support Tool script took a fair amount of time to run).
@thompst After looking over your Support Tool information, it appears your graphics card is currently running below the minimum system requirements to run the game successfully. Where we require a minimum of 512mb of dedicated memory, your computer is currently running at 256mb of dedicated memory. Your computer uses an integrated Intel graphics card, which we do not recommend using for our game, as they tend to run under minimum specs. I recommend either try playing the game on a computer above the minimum system requirements, or contacting Steam Support for further assistance, or a refund request.
It doesn´t work because 10.6.8. doesn´t have a libc++ library. I have been told this is a fixable issue, but not a minor one; I´m sure they´re working on it but it will probably take some time. It´s just a bit sad they´re not communicating with us at all about fixing the issue.
My mac is a Nvidia 320m and 256 Vram 4gb 1067 MHz DDR3 intel core 2 duo …. so it not possible ? so i paid the walking dead season 1 and 2, the wolf amoung us season 1 AND Game of Thrones for nothing ?? if the walking dead season 3 need those spec im dead…..
ya you feel alone… in the dark bro..
