Making the 400 days characters matter
The DLC could focus on the 400 days cast a few days before Howe's fell for the beginning of it and then focus on the aftermath for the rest of it. We would be able to learn more about Howe's and it's inner workings, get more interactions with Carver, and know why people like Shel and Russel didn't try to leave with the cabin group ( I mean the both of them already came from a bad group/community, why wouldn't they try to escape? Why didn't Bonnie include them?).
Once we get past the last days of Carver's reign, we can get to part where we set up a part of season 3. The 400 days group will encounter an obstacle that leaves them with no choice but to go wherever your Clem is. Once they meet up with her and whatever companion she has, they'll interact, remember her and her companion, and have to choose whether or not to engage them with words or bullets. Depending on how you played your Clementine, she will either shoot first or try to calm things down, and your role as the character you chose to be leader of the group will be trying to get the members your group to calm down and not exact revenge on them.
If you fail to calm them down or purposefully fail to calm them down, certain character from your side will die in the battle, except the character you chose to lead the group.
If you succeed, the group will still lose members due to the loud argument drawing walkers and this will result in your leading character and a few others to die.
Either way the aftermath will be the final scene of the DLC and the what happened afterwards will result in one of the conflicts you'll face in season 3:
The 400 days group will try to run you and Jane out of Howe's (along with the family if you let them in, if you didn't they'll work with the 400 days group to get you out). You'll have to fight for it. (You end up losing and you're forced to evacuate.)
You have to get the 400 days group to be on your side so they don't help the family you kicked out take you out. (Convince them, they'll help you but the battle will attract walkers and force you to leave the group and Howe's behind, their fates indefinite, for good)
The group will be a thorn in Wellington's side and some of the people will be biased against you because of it. This will make every mistake you make cause the community to want you out. ( You and Kenny are forced to leave, and forced to get away from the 400 days group, if you were alone in Wellington then you'll be running from the group alone, with Kenny killing a few of them off-screen.)
(I'm not sure how the group would work in the alone ending.)
Comments
Did you read my post? I think the 400 Day Characters are going to over run Clem and Jane out. It would be nice to see Clem beat down Becca down in a gun struggle, or just to see how they are going to escape this situation. I think Jane is going to die in the process of escaping, resulting to Clem moving to Wellington.
It would be even cooler in the alone ending you still end up to Howes, but the family gets there first and rejects Clem. Then the 400 days character finds Clem in the woods with AJ. Then have the choice to either take over Howes, making the family leave, or negotiate a living with them.
