Why would you want a cure?

Okay so I have a major essay due tomorrow fro school and I'm taking my time to do this! lol

Anyways, I mean, in twd show and they mention a lot about "the" cure (obviously). Although it hasn't been mention as much in the game, the characters have wondered if there will be a cure, and on the other hand in the show, they want a cure....but why?

I was thinking, maybe no cure is better. Think about it. If there's a cure, and everything eventually gets somewhat normal, wouldn't everybody be majorly traumatized? How can they just live normally after years of horrible trauma with being scared and witnessing so much gore and death!

I know eventually you'll get around, but that's horrible. The stories you will tell. The things you will remember!

Why don't people just forget a cure, and becoming professional skilled walker slayers and just live their life like that?

Why would people want a cure after all this? If there is a cure, you will feel like al this was worthless but if you live with zombies forever, you have somebody to live for and something to kill for!

What do you guys think?

  • If they ever end TWD they would A make a cure or B everyone dies.

So a cure would be possible, in the next 10 years maybe.

  • They'd be used to it.

I'd actually love to see a time-skip 20 years down the road or so, when human society has fully adjusted to the idea of death turning people into mindless cannibals. So far the series is pretty boring and generic with its focus on small groups of nomads. People really need to think broader.

Kirkman ain't gonna consider this idea anytime soon, since it's his cash-cow and he knows that his hordes of fans will lap up everything he hacks out.

A cure might end the threat of the dead but not the threat of the living.
